This is a remarkable event for as conservative an organization as AARP.

LOL! The rank & file are leaving the AARP because of their blatant disregard for the members well being.

The aarp's management were all donors to Obama's campaign & have sold out.

AARP never learns. The last time they backed this Kavorkian Healthcare bill thousands of their members cut up their memership cards. Be interesting to know how much the Democrats gave them for their endorsment.

Obama needs to focus his bumbling mind on JOBS & the Economy, not another entitlement that we cannot afford.

You are right. "It is the Economy stupid", should be the Republican motto for the next year.

My 70 year old dad has cancelled his membership. I am 49, and will never join as long as these sell outs are in charge. My dad has many health problems, he is worried that he will not be able to get the treatments he needs, if the house bill becomes law.

This Obama guy, with all of his Chicago buddies around him, scares the daylights out of me. There is too much secrecy, this leads to mistrust. I wish he would give us the transparency in government he promised during the campaign.

Already sent them an email earlier and cancelled my membership, as did my brother, and mother. They have less members now that they claim to be speaking for. I was on the web site and no where did it ask what members think, there was no place for those who oppose what this group is doing, so I immediately cancelled my membership. Thegood thing is that my dues were only paid through 1 December.

AARP has supported Obama's health care plan from the beginning but only now making it public. I resigned membership some time ago. The organization little to offer except a useless magazine.

I don't live in the States any longer, but my 81 year old mother does and up until now her medicaid plus coverage has been a god send keeping her alive.(A lot of health problems) She is an AARP member, but not for long as I'll have to tell her what they are doing.(Helping President Shit For Brains, cut spending for her life support medicaid plus to fund his Obamacare crap)

You know, we have to stop giving the President credit for doing nothing more then backing these crappy policies. We call them Obamacare or his Stimulus Plan, Bullshit! He hasn't written a thing. He is to blame for supporting them, but he doesn't deserve credit ( or blame) for writing them. I'm not sure he is bright enough to write anything of his own! He should try, because he couldn't possibly any worse then the idiots Pelosi & Reid. Could he?

Another group willing to sell its soul, and lose its members to follow the great Obama. It reminds me of that scene from "The Omen" when the maid calls out from the upstairs window "this is for you Damion" and jumps out. The AARP does not care about retired people, that just want some of that goverment cheese {money} being handed out. I wonder what back room deal was made.

AARP CEO A. Barry Rand makes a salary of $575,000 plus, and he sells out the elderly to Obama health scare! He only speaks as President of AARP, while the wesite looks more like ACORN, he does not speak for our members. I wonder if Rand is in bed with them too. Did Obama offer you an all expense paid trip to the White House and a night in the Lincoln bedroom that they rent out?

"The people who vote"? That is racist. You are making fun of the blacks who stayed home in VA and NJ yesterday. Shame on you for calling blacks lazy and not politically involved!

Would you say it would be racist for a black man to throw support of an organization without the consent of the membership behind a black led initiative which will decrease the healthcare of those in the organization, on the basis that a black man is leading the initiative, regardless of what the members of the organization actually support?

If a member of AARP, call, write, email and ask for a refund.

Don't join. It's a democrat front for candidates.

AARP spends your AARP dues on tv commericials, print ads.

Get out, the organization appears to have been taken over by a political party.

They are advocating not for seniors or others but for themselves.

Get out of AARP, toss the literature that comes in the mail and forget any endorsements.

REQUEST A REFUND OF YOUR DUES and spread the word.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Aquarius

If you're still happily munching chocolates and all sorts of other goodies, you'll have to take yourself in hand at some point during the coming fortnight. Maybe you'll have to compensate for all the festive over-eating by taking more exercise or cutting back on the calories, or perhaps you'll decide that you can't delay giving up smoking any longer. As Mercury turns in your twelfth house of secrets, messages you receive at this time may be very subtle or contain hidden meanings meant only for your understanding.
