Evilu, I'm sure you'd rather use the money to start another war against a dark-skinned people somewhere. Bomb, bomb, bomb Iran, as McCain said.

With the passage of health care reform, your sad life doesn't change one bit.

Meanwhile, 44 million real Americans may now have a chance at basic health insurance.

God Bless Barack Obama!

Lincoln should have let the South secede. We don't need you and don't want you. In fact, we oughta sell all y'all to Mexico.

96% of American's will have socialistic medicine. What about the other 4% or is that the total they came up with to include those that will be jailed for not having it? Hmmm... I love becoming a socialist country, don't you?

The only time anyone will go to jail is if they don't pay the fines for not supporting Obamacare.
This is a big part of this reform.
It's estimated that 38 billion dollars a year will be collected in fines.
They'll need it,considering how many more people will be on the gov't. payroll.
He will credit this reform to the stimulus bill and will be praised for creating the jobs he promised it would.
Pelosi, along with Obama, should be drawn and quartered for this.

I am hopeful that one day in the next few years California will lead the way in getting a waiver from the Secretary of Labor to implement a Medicare for All plan, otherwise known as single-payer health care, the most efficient and economical approach, whereby we all pay into a single fund that allows us the freedom to choose our own doctor, without the fear that if we change jobs or move to be closer to a loved one we will lose our health care coverage.
Our veterans have single-payer health care. Our seniors have it. I don't know anyone who would trade in their Medicare card.
As my friend often says, "What health care does a health insurance company provide?" Absolutely zero.
I agree with the Democrats who recognize the urgency in addressing the current crisis - 90-million Americans uninsured or under-insured in the richest country in the world. The Medicare for All system allocates 3-5% of its costs for administration; health insurance companies spend 30 cents out of every dollar we pay them to police our claims, denying 25% of the claims we submit.
Under the best scenario, the Senate would pass an amendment to the health insurance reform bill that would grant states a waiver to enact single-payer health care. States should have the freedom to improve whatever plan Congress enacts.
As for the plan before us now, the downside is the Stupak amendment, which would ban any abortion coverage under a public option, yet require women to buy/opt-in to that coverage. The upside of the current bill is that it would expand health care coverage to 36 million people over the next decade and prohibit insurance companies from denying coverage because of pre-existing medical conditions. That is progress.
Should this bill pass, we will need very strict oversight and regulation of the insurance industry -- and we will need courageous lawmakers who will not be afraid to buck the lobbyists to protect the people.

If they live long enough to get treatment. It takes weeks and sometimes months to get test results back in Canada and then you are put on a waiting list if you need surgery.
Just wait til Obammy gets lung cancer. Course, he will recieve lung transplants to keep him alive while others die because of the mess he has put is in.

Neither Government or Union employees will be required,or fined,to carry mandatory health-care coverage.
So Obamas lung cancer will be addressed in quicker fashion than everybody else's won't be.

A year ago last week American voters repudiated the Republiscum death spiral, and the House followed through yesterday with another repudiation of the Republiscum death spiral.

A good day for Americans, a bad day for corporatists who still try to kill Americans and destroy our nations representative (and beleaguered) govt.

You Republicans had control of the Congress and White for 6 years and did NOTHING for health care or the anything else for that matter unless you count starting wars and destroying the economy so shutting up would be a good thing. Funny how after 8 years you are all so smart now...Where do I get some of that magic grape juice.

You guys keep harping on the last war started by republicans. Are you aware of who was president when the other wars started? I think Kennedy was a democrat that started Vietnam. Check out the other wars, and see who was president when they started.
Your argument is weak and pointless about Iran being started by a republican.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Pisces

Someone is extremely headstrong and defiant today, and there's every chance that you're the one fitting this description. The more others are trying to make you behave yourself or do what they want, the more determined you'll be to do the exact opposite. Well, it is a Full Moon, and a lunar eclipse in emotional Cancer, so you're excused! Show them that you're an individual in your own right without going completely overboard about it, because that will cause trouble. Then once you've got all that off your chest you can relax and look forward to a really Happy New Year!
