Anti-Smoking Campaign: Good Public Policy Or Heavy Handed Propaganda?

Can the federal government require tobacco companies to put scary pictures on cigarette packs? At least one federal district judge has said "no." You can regulate commercial speech to protect consumers.

I have to wonder how many people are buying into the ridiculous crap about the packages providing the "last option for advertising left" to the tobacco companies.

Recent articles spawning threads here put the advertising spending of those companies at $27 million dollars A DAY.

I wonder how much of that goes into telling that particular lie?

Some are so dumb they don't get it. Too many chemicals in their peabrains. Better hope that reabrain doesn't fall out that hole in your throat. But then you wouldn't miss it anyway since you don't use it.
