I hope this simplistic definition will help you understand that it is unhealthy to experience these obsessive thoughts. Please get some help. To be so fixated on wishing anyone harm is very unhealthy and is only hurting you!! Did you know that obsession can be caused by a serotonin imbalance? With all the discussion about serotonin and Chantix, perhaps you are suffering an adverse effect from your Chantix usage. Whatever the reason, you should see someone. I know you don't want to take any other meds, but it would be good to find a doc you can trust and explore your options. Best wishes and good luck with this. Seriously. You are really REALLY sick Janice! You came over to the WD to act ignorant after posting this crap here. YOU ARE SICK! How many people HAVE you pushed to commit violent acts??? How many people HAVE you KILLED??? I am the one who pointed out to you that SEROTONIN is how chantix CAUSES the listed side effects. How is any doctor going to undo a chantix caused brain tumor or brain chemical imbalance??? Oh more drugs that CAUSE those problems ... you and others here WERE some of the health careless professionals in these stories. NO THANKS after the ill effects of one psyche drug toted as a quit smoking pill, I'll pass on your pills and advice. Unlike you, I have also learned to successfully live with pain, false signals or not. http://psychrights.org/horrors.htm

I mistakenly have tried to reason with her when pointing out the dangers of chantix from my horrible experience. Funny how those who did not have serious problems AND believe chantix is the ONLY way they could quit smoking are so quick to jump on the BASH wagon.

The news this week had two stop-smoking drugs that were doing damage to the users. Death included. Sorry, I don't know their names. But be careful. Best of everything.

carrots wrote: First, thank you for your kind words. Esad, I am sorry that you have had health problems for any reason.I had simular symptoms 10 years ago, long before Chantix. I attended a Fibromyalga support group, bought the best vitamins, got really mad that I was unable to function. No trouble since. I am here tell you all that I will never call anyone (as Meme says... in real life or cyberland) just love Meme. I do not want to become the people who upset me. I did not quit smoking and drinking to suffer from stress ie.. fibromyalga and such. I choose my attitude and the only person I need to judge or understand is me. I am sorry for any unkind words so far. Look at the number of "judgements" on your comment and then at LadySmack's. You will get a better picture of the posters and readers here. I got over fibromyalgia when it was still called fibrositis. Well not got over but learned to deal with it, for the most part, without drugs. It was the ADDITIONAL EFFECTS of the use of steroids that cause anger, tension and adrenal fatigue. Back then there was no Internet so I had no clue what the doctors were doing in their madness to cure my illness. Marge has to barge in and try to shove her "medicine" down my throat, I will bite her hand just like I would the doctors who would give out chantix and not warn of the DANGERS! I may "sound" mad, I am, at Pfizer and those who will not LISTEN to the patients. I know chantix caused your angry reaction to my one comment to or about you. I am sorry you have had so many problems related to addiction. I feel the difference between addiction and dependence to be social and I would like to change that view. If you look under "dependence" for chantix you will find my biggest complaint! Thanks for your kind words, I do no name calling but do action point. You actions are kinder then words. You are going through the "love" phase of withdrawal from chantix now, that part was cool I admit. Enjoy your independence from drugs and I hope it lasts! Happy Independence Day! Remember safety first!!!

You are REALLY angry here. I did go to wrong diagnosis.(it is mentioned here so often I thought I would check it out) I didn't realize that you would be so angry about that. I am not sure how much I really care how angry you get since you refuse to do anything to help yourself in that regard, but my intent is NOT to cause you discomfort. The rest of your post is so irrational, I think it best not to answer the accusations. Your fire of hatred stays burning brightly without any fuel from me. I am very sorry that you choose to stay in this state. I really am, but I can't do anything to help you. You refuse any help.

Some folks have said that cigarettes actually block pain. I have not researched that or found any references to it in the things I have read. Could be? I think the fibro is in response to the years of physical abuse from alcohol and cigarettes. I have nothing clinical to back my thoughts but I believe that we have a finite sort of immune system and if we "use it up" by abusing it early, then it is sluggish and lets us down later. Who knows? All I know is that it hurts and it hurts more since I quit smoking. Is it Chantix? Is it nicotine absence? Hell, I don't know. I would like to know but I don't suppose it makes one bit of difference in the treatment. My new doctor checks vitamin D every Feb or so and I am low again this year. I took the 8 week Rx but actually decreased in my levels. Supposedly this deficiency can cause fibro symptoms. I am now on a double dose. We shall see. At least it is a non invasive sort of treatment so I am willing to try.
