WASHINGTON, D.C.)- U.S. Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) today released a new oversight report, highlighting more than $2 billion in taxpayer dollars indirectly subsidizing the advertising costs of some of the most profitable agriculture companies and trade associations doing business overseas. You will recognize many of these company brands as household names, such as Welch’s, Sunkist, and Blue Diamond. Despite their combined $2 billion in sales in 2009, Treasure MAP shows how these companies received more than $6 million in 2012 from taxpayers for product promotion. Also receiving millions from taxpayers for private overseas advertising are the agricultural trade groups whose members include Tyson Foods, Purina, Hershey’s, Georgia-Pacific and Jack Daniels. With a multitude of other agriculture, and fiscal priorities facing our nation, this report shows it is time to reduce funding for the Market Access Program (MAP).

“At a time when we are cutting funding for our troops, taxpayers cannot continue to subsidize the filming of Reality-TV shows in India, wine tastings for foreign journalists and even ads for pet shampoo,” said Dr. Coburn.“We need to make tough choices.”

Obama and Holder do share a long standing loathing for most everything about America. They will still need a platform after November. They can get shows on MSNBC. Voila.

And Holder's bold answers to every Republican senator's question in minute detail was a breath of fresh air in Washington !

I'm glad the Republicans are finally showing some backbone in going after Attorney General Eric Holder for Contempt of Congress because he won’t release vital documents related to The Fast and Furious gun running fiasco. I pray they continue with the contempt charges, find him guilty and incarcerate him until he releases these documents.

Next there needs to be an investigation of The Department of Homeland Security for not giving Florida state the requested information so they can most properly purge their voter list of ineligible registrants. Also there needs to be another investigation of Eric Holder for attacking Florida and other states for their Constitutional voter ID laws.

Eric is low hanging fruit. When the court opens in 03Spring, the SubCommittee Hearings should not accept 'I take the Fifth'.

Incriminating evidence against Holder likely to be exposed if Holder releases the all important documents to Congress? Probably!

Perhaps even Obama could be in trouble here...especially with the likes of Holder in charge of investigating scandal #2...

Will Holder willingly take the fall to save Obama?

Hey harvey, Holder is not going quietly. He has major support and as long as he is getting hit by the lighting, Obama is able to have his fund raisers. Obama's motto is definitely not, "The Buck Stops Here". He will let others take the hit and that is why he needs them.

'I take the Fifth' is an admission of guilt without testifying against oneself and is sufficient grounds, without further evidence, should there not be any other, to be incarcerated for an indeterminate period of time.
