BY PHILLIP WILLIAMS Special Correspondent GILMER -- The former longtime business office manager of the Union Grove Water Supply Corporation has been indicted on a felony charge of stealing at least $20,000 from the firm, Upshur County District Attorney Billy Byrd said today.
Rumors are flying that the Upshur County Judicial System is under FBI investigation. Allegations are that our DA is involved in misappropriation of funds (again), our judge has been arrested in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for possession of cocaine, attorneys are requesting that bonds be paid in cash, the judge consistently overrules the jury by doubling, tripling and quadruplings their sentencing recommendations, inmates and their family members are consistently bullied by the DA and other officals and some inmates are being held on bogus warrants and other falsified documents.
