Don't attack me. Socialism is NOT free. People in Europe pay big value added taxes on every product they buy to pay for their Social Security and Medicare. Of course we have to pay for our social programs. Someone has to pay for it. The tea party all wants socialist security and Medicare, some want Medicaid too, most are on at least one government pension, most are on 2-3 goverment pensions and a lot of them are on union pensions. Then they go on and on and on about how they hate unions, how they hate people who live off of the government and how they hate goverment health care, but the tea party lives off of the government and is on government health care. It's not like they saved their own money to live retired. They spent all of their money and now they want big money from the government and they want medical care from the government and they do not want to pay one cent for their health care, so that they can live fat retired off of the goverment without them having had to save one cent for their own retirements. the tea party is lying, they are full of sh!t, they are evil, greedy, old people who are lying. Everything they say is the exact opposite of how they live.

Do you have any links to prove all this about the Tea Party?

"The average Canadian family pays about 48 percent of its income in taxes each year, partly to fund the health care system. Rates vary from province to province, but Ontario, the most populous, spends roughly 40 percent of every tax dollar on health care, according to the Canadian Taxpayers Federation."

" more than 1 million are on waiting lists for treatment, according to the Canadian Medical Association. Meanwhile, some 200 physicians head to the United States each year, attracted by lower taxes and better working conditions. Canada has 2.1 physicians per 1,000 people"

When I first saw the Tea Party on TV, I saw that they are older people, so that tells us they are on SS and Medicare, and they would have to be on some type of pensions as well. So they would be on either union pensions or on government pensions. So I knew from the get go that they were mad that Obama took $500 billion out of Medicare to fund Obamacare. It's the "grey panthers" protesting to save SS and Medicare for themselves. There used to be a political group that was all people 65 or older who fought for the entitlements and they were called The Grey Panthers. So this is what the Tea Party really is.

I talk to some of them, and it is always older people on a union pension, on a VA pension, on a state or federal pension, on SS, on Medicare. They think that means they saved to live retired and that they are entitled and that no one else is entitled to any government money. They reason that they worked and are old so they are the only ones who are entitled to government health care and to government monies. In reality, they are all on socialism and they are fighting for them to be able to keep their socialism by cutting out other spending. This is why they all say to end welfare. I'm for ending welfare to end the child abuse and crime and the big expenses to the states, but the bottom line is we spend 4 times more on old folks than on young people and SS and Medicare are where most of the money is going, so there is no way to cut other things and not cut SS and Medicare, and, the politicians have been saying this on the news channels for a few years now. I think the Tea Party would have done better if they had admitted they like socialism and admitted they want to keep SS and Medicare as it is and then fight to fund those programs with a big national sales tax. The way they did things those programs will be cut, and they don't want that. I mean it's good in a way as far as they really have NO power in terms of being able to keep their socialism. They can run the elections but they can't control being able to get SS and Medicare. They are going to end soon enough, when cuts are made to the entitlements.

If they would have fought for a national tax to fund those two programs, those programs would not have been cut, but see they didn't want to pay one cent more in taxes. It's like when greed ruins everything, like it goes too far and the people who were so greedy end up losing everything.

The taxpayers association is a pro corporate group that distorts figures in favour of right-wing politics.

The tax rate above is wrong and overstated. many people on waiting lists are there for elective or non threatening issues. Most people who are very sick are handled by the Canadian system immediately..

These distortions are used by US HMOs to scare Americans from a single-payer health system because they will loose business and opportunities to rob US citizens.

Wake up USA..

It is a system no politician would dare try to end. Canadians live two years longer statistically than Americans.

Your tax rates are wrong.. maybe based on some right-wing pro Big Pharma, HMO groups here. A coup;e of wing nuts funded by foreign HMOs who want to do business in Canada. Not a chance boys.

If you are really sick you get treated quickly. There are some waits for cosmetic or non-life threatening issues.
Canadian system is fantastic.... You should copy it.

plus we spend less as GNP ratio than in US..

DON'T BELIEVE PROPAGANDA. Canadian Gov. more efficient than US business ha ha
