"He says he then stopped by the Dean's Office to inquire about the status of accusations that he violated the university's standard(s) of conduct".

He should be O.K. if this is the same standards the athletes have to follow.

This guy is obviously unstable. Who shows up to court handing out candy and teddy bears ? He shot out a red light camera too. He is a grade a certifiable nut.

I'm surprised no one has asked why he was banned from UT? He was only accused of shooting the camera. He hasn't been proven guilty yet has he? If that's the case, how could they ban him without knowing whether or not he was guilty?

Seems to me, the Clark child, really has problems. If he is smart enough,to go to UT,then he should be smart enough to understand the law. Like the preachers wife, whom killed her husband. Then she plays big I little you, just like poor pitiful Clark.

I thought police were trained to shoot anyone pointing a gun at them after they identified themselves as police.

Here is my view, they had no good evidence to go to trial with on the redflex camera shooting. Now they are messing with him to get him to do something screwy enough to hold and convict him.

Since when do they get all hot and bothered enough to serve a misdemeanor trespassing warrant that justifies kicking down a door in plain clothes and take a mans guns and ammo?

Something is very wrong with the facts I have seen presented.

I have several flashing bright lights wired to my doorbell and a dog. How in the Hades am I to know the difference between a cop and a home invader? I guess you are going to say because they are dressed nice? Give me a break. I can think of several ways. Uniform comes to mind first! Registered mail? Wait for me to either come home of possibly go out for some food, or pay the water bill? Go to work maybe?

ap rounds aren't illegal "unless" they happen to be handgun ammunition. I feel like the whole mention of the AP thing is either A. the media trying to spin the story to support a personal agenda, or B. they don't know the difference between "legal" and "illegal" because they are basically mush brains. My money's on "B"

Please look at who the journalist was on this story. Has she ever got a story right?
she appears to work hard to 'create' news...not report news...the more crap she can stir up and the more details she can leave out, the better...makes for a more provocative (though WRONG) story. On those occasions when she ends up on the a.m. anchor desk, I change to another station.

Cliff clark has not been convicted of shooting Redflex private property, and he never confessed, and no witness saw him do it. Clark never got a redlight ticket from Redflex. Clark's guns and ammo were 100% legal, as is his right to self defense from home invasion. No one needs to be a student to have access to UT campus, which is part of City of Knoxville.

JJ Jones, isn't he the unelected-fired-unelected "sheriff", after Teflon Tim Hutchinson was fired for election fraud? Jones said Hutch stole cars at West Town Mall with convicted copkilling towtrucker Roy Lee clark, but Jones never bothered to arrest Hutch, who probably told him who the snitch cop was (so the towtrucker hired a hitman who killed his cousin). Jones refused to arrest Hutch, and rehired him to get an $85,000/year pension. The previous Knox sheriff Joe Jenkins was jailed for $1-million cartheft to feed his cocaine addiction. Blount deputies must pay $15,000 to $25,000 bribes to be promoted to Sgt or Lt.

Who knows? This county is so corrupt that chances are they'll take his guns, file off the serial numbers, and turn around and sell them as a "throw away gun" for $150.

The officers were looking out for their well being, when he shut the door on them they had every right to force entry into the house for their own protection. They are thinking maybe he is going to get a gun (WHICH IS WHAT HE DID) he is known to have guns and known to fire those guns. he is very lucky he is not dead

The alleged "criminal trespass" on "UT campus" is an alleged ban on "an entire city", since "UT" is part of City of Knoxville. I doubt anyone can be banned from an entire city, that they live in. There was no Order of Protection or TRO signed by a judge banning clark, and UT admits it never served Clark with proper notice to "ban him from campus". Thus a charge of "criminal trespass" must be dismissed, for failure to meet the Essential Elements of the crime, which are:(1) personally told to leave a specific area,(2) refusal to immediately leave that area.

Prosecutors will argue that since Clark "opened" his door, thus he "voluntarily consented" to home invasion, since deputies knew from his registered gun records that he had access to firearms.

So the so-called "arrest warrant" probably did not allow arrest or search of his home, but was merely service of process of a criminal SUMMONS to appear in court at a later date, which is NOT a "warrant". There probably was NOT an "arrest warrant" nor "search warrant".

This is an example of why folks install peepholes and 2-way videocams on their front doors, to prevent home invasion by police state death squads. And why smart folks ALWAYS tape record their conversations with cops, who routinely testiLIE in court.

Here's undercover audio of 5 TN cops torturing a man in his home, to force him to sign a "voluntary consent to search" contract. Those 5 cops are now in prison, and a $17-million lawsuit has been filed for official oppression.

Cops not in uniform sounds like a "pretext" for home invasion, knowing he might shut his door after opening it, since the "cops" never identified themselves as cops.

US Supreme court claims that allows police state death squads the right to bust down doors without search warrants, which these cops did not have.

Once upon a time, US S Ct claimed black folks were slaves, and white folks were "indentured servants" (ie slaves).

Does KCSO normally serve civil process of summons when NOT in uniform? Were these off-duty deputies?

Kay has made too many mistakes, and those mistakes has stirred up the readers. I have to agree with some of the others, "KAY CREATES NEWS," instead of reporting the truth.

You say she makes no mistakes, she reported that KPD was involved in this story when it was actually Knox County. IT's spins like this that stirs the trouble. She is always reporting the location of crimes wrong which is a big problem.
