Ragsdale announces staff shakeup in wake of spending controversies

I wonder if any of these individual had work in the private sector, would they still have a job?

Everyone corrects the problem when they are caught.

The whole County government is crooked. Scott Moore and the whole County Commission along with Ragsdale and his staff should be removed.

According to Paul Pinkston, as recently as two weeks ago, Werner was still buying smoothies on his P-Card and he has the documents to prove it...

These people are above the law, if I used our company credit card for personal use, I would be fired and put in jail for theft, but then again, I don't work for Knox County.

why in the world would they keep this guy around until september. Thats another gift given to him that we shouldnt have to pay for. I say throw him to the curb and let him work at smoothie king. Thats about his speed.

Perhaps Ragsdale couldn't control some of the credit card charges from some of the employees who got caught, but the Finance Director? wonder if he was just following the behavior of his superiors? the comments re: they are proud of Ragsdale for his handling of this mess is ridiculous - what other choice did he have? Seems WBIR and the rest of the media are part of that good ol' boy network. When you talk to people on the inside you find out a lot more than ever comes out in the news.

I would like to know why Ragsdale took all the credit cards up when all the corruption is in his office. He has even repaid funds that were illegally spent. Where I work, the expense reports are checked for accuracy and compliance. Were these not checked? Maybe they were, but maybe they were afraid of their "fearless leader", since everyone or just about all of his "Cronies" were involved. The only reason he has launched an "investigation" is because they got caught.

Hope everyone realizes that post from Joy4you is a con scam that is old as the hills. We have got these same pleas faxed to our business fax number. Don't fall for this "Too Good To Be True" deal. It is a way to get into your pocket.

When persistent fraud occurs and local authorities refuse to obey the law the only recourse is to go to the State. Crimes have been committed.
