George Thomas murder trial pushed back one year

Imagine that...

I'm sick and tired of having to look at the pictures of those thugs who are responsible for the horrible things that happened to Channon and Christopher. I wish the media would stop running their mug shots - or any pictures of them period.

And my heart breaks for the families of Channon and Christopher. They get ready for a trial to begin only to be informed there has been a delay. Haven't they been through enough without these roller coaster date changes?

I know..it's sickening to say the least. Now he was waived his right to a speedy trial because he is going to try to wiggle his way out of it. I just feel sorry for the defense having to defend this guy. They took an oath when they graduated law school to give proper defense to any and all and they get stuck with retards like this one. I am sure it is hard for them to sleep at night, especially since these are the ones appointed by the state...you know they aren't making the mondo dollars, good money but not a lot.

The hope that someone forgets a detail that probably does not matter anyway is the only defense this thug has.

This is what we call "check mate." Take THAT, Mr. Dillard - and you too, you weasley little vermon, Thomas!! Neither one of you are standing so tall now, are we?? Dillard looked positively pole-axed!

Gosh.... it appears this is going to take forever. Well, even if it's justice delayed I hope it's justice done.

Hey Spunky, long time no see!

I think this is the one they can't link to the crime scene. His DNA was the only DNA NOT at the scene. At first he wanted to get his trial over and done with quickly but I guess since he realized his DNA wasn't found, he can just wait.

Everyone of them should already be dead...if only it was a perfect world.

I hope so. If nothing else, since they've postponed it, the others may implicate him also.

Who are the sources on his comments referring to 'white girl' and not feeling sorry for her? If it is a known fact he said these things why is that not being reported in the media?? It surely would show this atrocity was motivated by race and hate. All the more reason the silence from the national media is an outrage.

I kinda hope the media keeps mum about this new evidence, phone recordings, etc. They will never find an impartial jury if all the evidence is out in the open. I'm all for whatever it takes to convict everyone involved - and the sooner, the better.

Agreed...and I'm of the understanding it's not just the jail phone recordings, but actual evidence on multiple phones found on the perps and in the home that will seal their fate!!

Where'd you hear that, Neil? It's been in multiple court documents, but just wondered how you came across it?

Some posters to knoxnews reported on those comments. Is this info available to the public? If so then I assume the statements scumbag Thomas made in his phone calls are accurate. Supposedly arrestees are informed that their calls are recorded and statements can be used against them. So why was there ever any question these conversations could be used?

The one comment about "them coming to our neighborhood to kill us" sounds like the rantings of a loon. How many white college girls who wear pink shoes go and kill people like him?? Makes me want to vomit. Also sounds as if this was racially motivated, at least after they got those poor kids to that house of horrors. All the more reason the media silence is sickening.

Even if race were not an issue, and all the parties involved here were of the same race, I would be equally disgusted. This kind of crime is so rare, and was as vile as what you would see in films like "Hostel." Perhaps that's where the killers got their ideas. Anyway, when the accused finally come to trial we'll see if CNN, MSN, or the rest of them give it any coverage but I won't hold my breath.

This makes it even more disturbing again. When I first heard about this atrocity over a year ago some people commenting on blogs wrote about how several phone calls were placed from within the house. Then during the boyd trial we heard from the man next door that he had seen people coming and going all night. Makes me wonder how many more guilty creatures are out there who participated. If others knew and did nothing then that is a crime in itself. Apparently there is nothing prosecutors can do though, or I assume they would have been charged already.

Others knew...others definitely knew.

Those death penalty cases always get delayed by 1-2 years. I guess I'm living in a dream world, but I think it should be like 200 years ago. You were tried a week after the crime and hanged at dawn the morning after being found guilty.
