Does anyone know anything good or bad about this place? The doctor is Dr.Fox and he also has 2 NP's there as well. I'm looking 4 a doctor 2 help treat and fix my issue thats causing my chronic pain and not just send me on my way with scripts. Thanks

Go away.
The last thing needed here is a return to this place being dominated by doctor shopping and pain pill subjects.
Just go away.

Kind of looks like you should be searching for a dictionary and thesaurus.
Advice please

The sad thing is I moved here a year ago my new Dr. Got my MRI and said "shit man you have problems". No joke and he wants me to go to a pain Dr. And this is why I don't want to go because of the stigma you get from one Question. Needless to say that I can't walk without years in my eyes but yet don't want to get treatment due to this.

Don't let them upset you. They don't understand. Primary care drs wont treat chronic pain. By law they can't. My Orthopedic surgeon, neurologyist both referred me to pain management. All you will get on these forums are vile comments. They don't understand there are legitimate people suffering. I just hope their day will come.

I just got back from getting a mri that my primary doc sent me for so this new doctor at Active Pain Treatment will have for when I go to him. I googled the pain doctors name and even his practice name but came up with nothing for this place. I'm really hoping someone on here knows something/anything about them. My primary doc is wonderful she will help with pain but she says its not her speciality and will refer u to where u need to go.

Dr. Fox is an excellent physician and does things by the book. Don't pay any attention to the jerks that put down pain management or people that need it. They have no clue what it's like to have severe pain on a daily basis. Good luck to you.

Why don't YOU go away. All you type are posts filled with hate. The person was asking a legitimate question and doesn't need your inadequate mind responding.

PS is right. They are by the book. They do want to explore all options. If your pill seeking don't bother. If you want a treatment plan they are good. They do have limits on what they write. I have been on the 30's from my family doc and they would not continue to take over writing them. Don't listen to all these hypocrites. If your new to pain management be careful . Inform yourself is the best answer.

And exploring options is a good thing. If there are injections that might help then it is worth a try taking a few of them. Dr. Fox will suggest injections IF he thinks they might help. He doesn't push them if he doesn't think there is any chance they will help and I find that refreshing in a pain doctor. So many are about making all the money they can and they make good money off injections. Dr. Fox is not that way and I respect him and his work. Pain management is not just about writing prescriptions. It's about doing whatever you can to help ease a person pain.

PS has given you great advice :)

I am not a patient at Active Pan Treatment, but I have been a pain management patient for over nine years.
I have tried the injections and for me, they just were not very effective. ALOT of doctors DO try and pressure patients into receiving them though because they are VERY EXPENSIVE.
The same can be said for surgical procedures as well. I know alo of people who were really helped after having surgery on their neck/back. Unfortunately though there are alot of people who disagree and say that it has made their pain worse.
There are some doctors who insist on performing surgeries on everyone, regardless of whether or not they really need it, just because they are able to charge their insurances a fortune.

I've found that medication, physical therapy, massage therapy, and using my TENS unit to be the best combination in managing pain for me. If only I could find a way to better manage stress...I think I'd be very close to being completely pain free :)

The best stress reliever I have found is my horses. Even just spending a few minutes talking to them and petting them brings my stress level way down. I had always wanted one and in February I adopted 2 Thoroughbreds. One is an ex-racer. The other one never raced, because of an injury early on. They have been the biggest stress reducer and pain reliever I have ever had. It's amazing how they calm the soul :)

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Pisces

Things are not always what they seem today, so be careful. Someone might appear to be completely honest but turn out later to have been fooling you in some way. Or a situation may seem quite clear-cut right now but forthcoming events will reveal that things are very different under the surface. So be wary about who and what you believe, and don't let anyone push you into making important decisions today because they may not be in your best interests.
