Dare to Ask: Do Native Americans have facial and body hair?

I have a mustache...
I have a goatee too...
I also have side burns...
But...
My side burns and goatee wont connect...
Theres only peach fuzz and its light brown...
It will only grown a certain length then stop...
I am 23...
Whats up with that...?
And my grandfathers grandmother was an indian.

Most tribes don't have very much just like Asian men, it varies.

Typically, they have little to no chest hair, can grow a sparse goatee and mustache but not a full beard and have trouble growing sideburns.

The guy in the story probably had white blood somewhere back in his family he wasn't aware of.

My dad is half Cherokee and hardly has to shave, no chest hair or sideburns.

I believe what Pamela said. I think she knows. My father was half Cherokee, and he had little facial hair, although he did shave. When he died, he still had a full head of thick black hair. Unfortunately, I did not inherit that particular gene. Sigh!

My mother is full blooded Navajo and my dad is full blooded Navajo too, but I still have to shave everyday. I know down along the line, maybe my great grandfather, it is mixed. With most natives it is mixed. I think the ones that are hairless aren't as mixed. I believe even with the native women, the ones that have hips, are mixed.

Male pattern baldness comes from your mother's side of the family. Look at your mother's brothers and father and that is what you will inherit.

You are right about the hips. Native women were slender and built like Asian women before they mixed with white people. I somehow inherited the slim build even though I obviously have a lot of white blood in me.

My dad is half Cherokee. My grandfather was 3/4 Cheroee and my grandmother is irish. My grandfather said that his grandparents were a mixed couple. His grandmother Cherokee and His grandfather Irish. My grandfather had no chest hair and stubble for facial hair, hardly ever shaving.
My dad is so dark, and has beautiful black hair and in the sunlight it looks as though it glows red. He does however have a full beard, and little chest hair.
I think it depends on how strong the genes are that you get from your parents.

As for me, My mother is White as white can be. Blond, blue eyes..... German and English.

I have a golden tan all year round, I have the facial and body structure like most of the women in my dad's family. I don't have much body hair really. I didn't even start shaving my legs til I was almost 16 because I didn't need to. My natural hair color is a very light brown almost blond. I have colored my hair for almost 13 years, because I want my dad's hair color more than anything. That is the one gene I wish I got and didn't.

My sister, looks like my mother, but is a redhead.

Again. I think it depends on what family genes you get.

Native Americans are Asians that came over on the Bering Strait. It probably would have fit better in the Asian American forum.

I agree with Pamela. Native Americans are actually considered Asian.
Full blooded Africans and Asians have no body hair.
I am black with some Native American ancestry. I get very little hair on my legs. My mother and grandmother do not grow any hair at all on their legs. My father and brother have no chest hair.

They have some, not much, I am of Shawnee heritage and can grow a sparse beard.

In the old days many tribesmen plucked or shaved off facial hair as it didn't go good with Bear grease or Vermillion.

All humans have hair. Everyone is different when it comes to the amount despite their race.

I don`t really know about facial or body hair, but I have seen a lot of very sexy Native American women that I sure would not mind being with.

Amerindians of the N.E. can grow mustaches and beards. Seen many Iroquois and Algonquian men with the trait.

Most of them are mixed with Caucasian blood.

Native and Asian men typically don't have much facial or body hair. They also have straight pubic hair.

Ken Mehlman is my hero and role model. Now that he has shown the courage to come out of the closet and admit that he is gay and that he has been a fraud, a liar, and a hypocrite.
