Obama Poised to Restrict Protest Rights

but nobody cares, as long as the RCC doesn't have to offer contraceptive to it's employees then everything will be okay.

If Obama signs this he is wiping his feet on the constitution.

I can't pick this week's lottery numbers, but I'll take a shot at how this turns out.

He will sign it into law, but then have a signing statement that says he didn't want to sign it into law.

Just like the NDAA or when they pass ACTA this month or the other myriad of measures to abolish the Bill of Rights in the near future.

One party is the right leg and the other party is the left leg of the same monster

Obviously "restricting protest rights" isn't the aim of this legislation; however, it does seem that it could be an unwarranted restriction on potential protest.

I can't support this, and Obama shouldn't, either.

Wasn't the vote for the rights-restricting Patriot Act unanimous? Don't Republicans vote for enhanced "security" and restricted demonstration rights, too?

All in the name of the "War on Terrorism," that horrible Bush-era monstrosity that Obama's picked up and carried on and which shows no signs of going away.

Any kind of "security," or "Defense," or "restriction" can be justified this way. And in the end, the terrorists have won.

none of the news shows are talking about HR347, but they have plenty of time to talk about who is paying for birth control, your assumption that I was speaking about Mr. L specifically is naive, I'm talking about ALL of them, from PBS to FOX news, even Jon Stewart isn't talking about HR347.
