Dario Franchitti has his third Indianapolis 500 victory. The Scottish driver started 16th in today’s 96th running of the Indianapolis 500 but ended first, holding off a furious charge by Japan’s Takumo Sato on the final lap to win a back-and-fourth, gripping edition of the Greatest Spectacle in Racing.
