With Danica Patrick, NASCAR gets its groove back

Mostr people realize NASCAR has really screwed up their racing league. Who can watch a race at those tracks where you can't pass. What kind of a race is it at the super speedways when once again you can't pass unless you get a push. Sure there are a lot of crashes and some people like that but if you ask a lot of the drivers, they'll tell you straight out that isn't racing!

About the only tracks where they actually race are the short tracks which isn't that bas but again, the teams with the money will run up front most of if not all of the time.

The main thing Patrick has going for her in both leagues is that she's with a team that has enough cash to give her the best equipment, better than 60-70% in Indy racing and she'll probably have better equipment than over half the field in the Nationwide series.

The main reason she competes as well as she does in the Indy league is because she has much better equipment than most of the field!

Hasn't anyone noticed that she usually finishes at or around where she qualifies she doesn't move up but does hold her position, of course because she has the equipment!

There are many drivers who give up one of their legs to get in a car that she drives and it'll be even worse when she gets in the Nationwide. All the guys who she beats across the line because of better equipment will be a little pi$$ed if you ask me. She'll no doubt have a Hendrck motor if she's driving for Dale Jr. not a bad start!

I used to watch NASCAR and wouldn't miss a race, not a minute. Now I can hardly sit and watch for more than a few minutes at a time and will trun the channel when the race is in the last 5 laps and turn it back as soon as know who is going to win...

Jr has the best equipment that money can buy, and he's been awful for two seasons. Just because you have the equipment doesn't mean you'll be a great driver---you have to have talent. Danica is also used to driving a car with computer-based telemetry, something that Nascars don't have. She'll need to learn how these cars drive and then learn how to give information to her team. That's something I don't think she'll ever be able to do.

Plus, she's used to a 1600lb car, racing with maybe 20 other drivers in a series that runs 17 races---and not racing every single weekend. I'll be very surprised if she lasts a year.
