Bravo! http://www.filmworksonline.com/ Ted is now calling Illinois home. More BS but still too little too late, as has distinguished the entire Ballard campaign. Ted was a slum employer whose workers had to race to the bank every payday to get there before the money ran out. What did he do with the federal money he got for the revamping of the theater? http://tinyurl.com/2em4lz What put the nail in HBFW's coffin was the anti-smoking ordinance, which effectively severed the place's niche market. Word. You folks must be pretty desperate. Say, what is your name so we can see it on Ballard's financial statement? Certainly you should be able to point to your contribution with pride.

Vote Him Out wrote: <quoted text> Check Ballard's finance report. The County GOP gave him over $70k. That is far more than any other donor. Read more closely. The GOP didn't give Greg Ballard one cent. They supplied 'in kind''office services.' I suspect that means 'office space' and possibly 'someone to answer the phone and take messages.'

Well, it says 'small business LOAN', so I reckon he paid it back. That's quite a different thing than, say, giving $48 million in tax dollars to JW Marriott so they would build a hotel. Quite a bit different than a 10 year tax abatement for the Conrad Hotel (and more curiously, for the expensive condos on it's upper floors). What a pathetic and desperate example of 'dumpster diving', trying to imply a LOAN is somehow a signal of something sinister.

I have been following this story for some time now, mostly becasue I am against the type of goverment that Bart runs. I want to beleive that there is hope for our country, hope that there are more voters out there that actually care and make their voices heard. I support all emergancy personal and hope that their struggle also gets better.
I have only been to Indy once, when I was younger. If Ballard gets elected, and the police are given the tools they need to lower crime, I will probably come back for a visit.
Fight the good fight, and good luck. Remember, no matter what, VOTE!!!!

Your above statement caused me to check it out - Greg Bowes DEMOCRAT and Angela Mansfield DEMOCRAT authored, and Steve Talley DEMOCRAT supported (as did Scott Keller, DOUBLE AGENT republican turncoat) the antismoking ordinance that nailed that coffin, as you put it. Note that Greg Bowes displays a copy of his ordinance on his personal website: http://www.gregbowes.org/issues/smoking/docum... That's Bart's people who killed the HBFW then, by your own documentation and admission. Word. Let's vote for Greg Ballard this time, it's time for a change.

It should read "Angela Mansfield, foaming at-the-mouth-soccer-mom-busybo dy-head of her HOA DEMOCRAT." Just seems to be a more apt description from my experience with her.

Quote from the story: "The third candidate in the race for mayor, Libertarian Fred Peterson, raised and spent no money on principle, saying money and the influence he believes it buys are “the root of problem in today’s politics.”
I am starting to lean more and more libertarian. They seem to be, as they say, "The Party of Principle". I am a recent convert from Fred Thompson to Ron Paul, and now I'm starting to see the rest of the libertarian picture. For more, youtube search "Ron Paul: A New Hope".

I thought you Republicans were for free markets. The thing was, people simply didn't want to pay what was required to view a movie at HBFW at that location. People are, however, willing to pay 10X that amount (at least)to see the Colts and Pacers play. Businesses open and close all the time - deal with it. That is all.

I just can't get my head around that at all. Moreover, there are people who kicked in $20K and more. Tell me they aren't after favors? The business world operates on ROI - Return On Investment. It ain't hard to figger out.
