What bunch of dumb jerks who can't count!
4 to 3 when the board votes means majority rules. Therefore if just cause
is found then Supt. Williams can be fired! What don't they understand?
There is something wrong with these people when they will not let the electoral process work. I'll bet good
money that these same people voted for
Geo. Bush in 2000,the minority vote
getter. They would start a Civil War
if we did not respect the U.S. Supreme
ruling in that case. Get over it, it is
just a damn school Board!!!

I can't believe you people are still screwing around with this thing. If he's gone send him packing, find a new administrator, and get back to the job at hand. What's that you might ask? Operating a public school corporation and educating students for cripe sakes.

It's amazing how, no matter what the topic, Bush gets his name thrown in. The Perry School Board is a bunch of bumbling idiots. Get over THAT!

Good for them. The "system" allows for such things and it is good that people learn to excercise their rights.

"washington-lacey" should take a few civics classes.

Just a **** school board. Public education was identified as one of the most important cornerstones of a democracy. The local school board is one, if not the, most important governing bodies in the education of the next generation of leaders in our country.

It is a shame that underqualified individuals with personal adgendas were elected to these positions. Maybe this is the wake-up call that people need to start taking school board elections seriously. Maybe people will start to realize that just because your friend or neighbor is running for the school board does not mean that they are qualified for the job.

You are very ill informed. That is exactly what Take Back Perry Schools is about. Unless you know what you are talking about, be quiet please.

The real problem is that the 4 can't find anything that he did wrong. They've hired attorneys who are specialists in digging up dirt to get rid of superintendents. They haven't found anything yet and they won't. The four need to be recalled. A recall election will let the people speak and be heard. "Wake-up and washington-lacey" probably have never set foot in Perry Township !! Born and raised there and I care about the kids.

People need to quit letting personal issues come between a job. He is on leave all because people are having personal issues. He has been in this job for years and has done a good job. Leave the man alone and let him do his job. I thought the board is supposed to be adults. I bet the students could be running it better than they are.

The school bored could have sent him packing a long time ago. They (the 4) have spent thousands of dollars with investigators, and we still have no CONCRETE reasons why he needs to go. I use to support the 4, but now have a problem as months later we still have no reasons presented that warrant his firing. If they did, then he would have been gone some time ago. Washington Lacey is right, and I'm sure they will all be bounced the next election. I know I will vote to out them just for the fact that they have wasted my money since October, we are still paying his salery, gave a raise to his fill-in, and have hired a lawyer for the School Board. Money down the drain in my opinion, have a case, stop screwing with it and go forward. Right now the 4 need to produce results, produce reasons, and they would probably not have nearly as many people in this Take Back Perry Schools thing.

I am a Perry resident. If you don't like what the board did then file your grievance at the ballot box, not the jury box. Me, I have no idea if what they did is right or wrong. Until they recieve less votes than someone else then they are in charge.

They are still protesting the issue that no just cause has ever been presented or has he ever been fired.

I fully agree with you. But, this organization is misrepresented in your argument.

The issues dealing with Dr Williams are but a symptom of the disease. Another woudl be the way the process for selecting building contractors changed at the last minute. Another would be the way the school board majority wants to revisit a signed contract for the edison schools. A big one would be the board majority's refusal to schedule a public forum that they voted on and passed 5-2 to hold.

This isn't simply about Dr Williams. That is just the issue that brought all this to the forefront.

Our schools are very important to us. This is more than "just a damn school Board" at stake here. I for one don't want my children's educational system ruined by "just a damn school Board".

As a parent of a student and a resident I find this group offensive. We elect people to make the decisions and if we do not like them next time vote for someone else not sue. This will cost the taxpayers money to defend the suit causing money to taken away from education. I think I will sue the Take Back Perry School group as they are raising my taxes uncessarily!!

I'd bet that you....
1. Either voted for bush yourself, or
2. Didn't vote at all.
Just a school board? Tell that to the parents of the children this school board should be helping to educate. Not waste their money on something that looks like a personal (not personnel) issue.

To think at one time Perry Township schools were well-respected for their ability to educate. Now, the MSD has joined the ranks of the dysfunctional. This is just another reason why so many of us who grew up and were educated within the township now send our children to parochial schools, where they receive a solid education.

You are such a liberal. Instead of offering any meaningful rhetoric you resort to name calling and bashing the president.

Lets see those wimpy board members squirm when they are "deposed". Shine the light ! Ha, they have to hire their own attorneys to personally represent themselves, if they acted in bad faith!

Rather than sue TBPS, you should join in their lawsuit - the four are the ones who will cause your taxes to go up. Have you noticed how much they've spent on attorney fees?

They're already driving your property value down.
