Cummins Inc USA is setting up new plant in Phaltan on 300 Acres.
With multinational like Cummins setting up plant in phaltan this will open up lot of job opportunities for the region. It is great opportunity for people from phaltan working across India, world in Engines,automotive field to find job in home town

The infrastructure in Phaltan is likely to improve with four lane road is proposed to build with private sector from Baramati- Phaltan- Lonand-Shirwal connecting the Pune- Bangalore highway

Its a great task and decision to spread the operation across countries urban & rural areas and with this decision, indirectly it working on balancing on unwanted growth of population at one junction.

I presume after setting up this facilities offcourse it will help company to reduce almost 30 % overall cost with creating huge pipe line of employment in all sectors.

Cummins plant site is located on Phaltan- Pune state high way and 11 Kms from Phaltan . The name of place is Suravadi. Distance from Pune is 100 Kms

First of all I would like to thanks State gov officials and Cummins indias officials for making their mind to set up greenfield plant in relatively backward region like Phaltan, Being neighbourlly region like Pune and BARAMATI it was always difficult to start indtrialisation for quite long.Now its like a dream comes true for the people who live here.Having semi arrid land in the region 70% of the pleople are depending apon the agriculture.Poor monsoon always been the fear factor to their economic conditions.
I think this project would help drive the eco growth in this part of the state.

Its indeed a great pleasure to have such a mega project near Phaltan. Anyways, Phaltan is near to Pune as well as has good infrastructure.
