hi yes i do think its fair aa they should have not be there. anyway how are they supposed to clean the area if items are not removed? |
||||
|
hi
while it a difficult thing to do. yes its fair to ask people to remove personal items so that area can be cleaned up.is it not true that items were never allowed on these graves because they are communal |

hi
I sympatise with all parents who have had to bury a baby wherever it may be. i believe the cemetery are tryin to maintain the area and perhaps removing the personal items is essential for this? is it not the case that because it is a communal/shared grave personel items are not allowed anyway? |

well from what ive heard they are making it into a rose garden and covering up the babies, and straighting out the ground it just seems so wrong to cover up.

hi
well from what i have heard. they are trying to make the area a more peaceful place for all parents to visit and grieve in their own way. covering up the babies? dont understand what you mean by that,is there not grass there anyway?covering the soil?as for the roses maybe they thought it would be nice to have some colour there too,possibly for the babies whose parents can not visit. for whatever reason? |

what i think irishnikki was trying to say was that they are taking away all the grave markings and covering it all up with grass and rose beds so unless you actually know where you would be walking and sitting as there will be no way of showing it, it will be on top of all the little angels laid there
|

hi. well now after reading more i see that they are not taking away headstones which has babies names on but asking parents to remove individual markings(because they are communal),why would anybody want to sit on graves?as it is to tend ones own would involve walking on others, newer section is different because there is a pathway.if parents have an issue i suggest they talk to cemetery not listen to half truths
just a suggestion! |

gosh i have tried to stay balanced(hence my name)but the crap i have seen on faceboook causes,has made me so angry,so one sided against the babies whose parents choose not to speak/shout, and that is why glasnevin management is there ,for us
thank you glasnevin for staying strong when we cant |
