Was Montauk Monster a hoax?

Full story: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

Fifty years from now, when the history of Montauk is recalled -- maybe over drinks at a pub -- the summer of 2008 will belong to the Montauk Monster.

You just gotta love these long summer days when school is out, don't you? What else is there for an enterprising group of students to do other than create a monster and a legend during the holidays? Not bad work, when you think about it. They got their creation on all the news channels and even some live appearances on the networks. Good for them! It's more than I accomplished this summer.

I don't know if this thing is real, but it reminds me of this fake thing they had at a museum I went to, that was supposed to have been a prehistoric animal that roamed the plains. It had dog fangs, a pig tail, and horse body. So I mean, it looked different than this, but for some reason, this just reminded me of that.

The picture the Sun Sentinel ran today made it look like a dead boxer, or a similar looking dog.

Sun Sentinel, I've left Brooklyn years ago..Now, I have to read this crap about New York here in South Florida?

Last time I saw something like that, it was behind the wheel of a Lincoln Continental with NY plates on it.

He'll find a way to blame it on the police department for sure; something they did or didn't do or should have done or could have done or ...

The most cursory glance at the legs and tail rule out a turtle. Also, turtles don't have teeth. On the subject of teeth, I wish we had a better view of 'em, but from what I can see, they're rodent-like. Closest fit I can come up with is maybe a Nutria, and the tail's all wrong for that.
Given the above, and the convenient disappearance of the specimen, IT'S A HOAX!

What I marvel at is that we, as a "civilization," have come as far as we have what with the drag on the smart folks that is the stinking cesspool of wide-eyed, superstitious morons that inhabit all corners of the earth.

It does not have a "beak". You can look at it (if you are not a fool) and see that that is the forward part of the skull of something that HAD a snout which has been eaten off by sea-dwellers. The soft facial parts are the first thing to go in a decomposing corpse in sea water.

Maybe if a few people moved their fat, lazy a$$$e$ from in front of the TV and actually read something factual or went somewhere once in a while, there would not be "news" like this.

Yes it does...if you are a dip$sh1t that has never seen any kind of actual turtle before.

You think inside the shell there's an intact animal that can just slide out and move into a another shell? I guess you saw that on a cartoon once, huh? Where the turtle gets scared out of his shell and then he and the shell run for cover or something?

Please go to school and study something...anything.

Interesting stuff can be done with Photoshop these days. Or do they still have the body?
