Where do these people get their information from? This is news Texas. Houston has contracted professional tree companys, if they are working thats great but I don't know that anyone is depending on any one community to help in the clean up. If they are getting work Great but I don't think it's like the Katrina cleanup.

There is no question that this illegal immigration has caused more problems than anyone could have ever imagined. With the Arizona State Illegal Immigration Law upheld in the courts last Wednesday, there is no excuse for any State not to have a State law to get rid of the ILLEGAL ALIENS.

The problems they are causing WILL NOT go away until each and every ILLEGAL ALIEN is out of this Country and back in their own country where they belong. Then, and only then, will these problems go away. America has a lot of problems right now, and ILLEGAL ALIENS do not have to be one of them.

I'm working on Delaware to get a law, and I wouldn't stop until a law is passed here.

It's time for these ILLEGAL ALIENS to pick up their ANCHORS and ship out! CLEAR ENOUGH?

Until the Constitution is amended to change the rules of citizenship, any baby born on US soil is as much a citizen as any of the punk-ass bigots that don't like Mexican food.

It would be interesting to make all citizens pass a US citizenship test to avoid being banished from the "homeland." For example, do any of the "anchor baby" haters know how the Constitution is amended?

i say whites should be self sufficient. I mean that, none of my dollars go to illegals (outside of taxes of course ) by my choice. I cleaned my own yard these weeks. and yes all the Mexilovers are right when they point the fingers at you Mexilovin whites when yuo hire illegals. yoou shouldn't do it! so heres what it should be. Illegals should by law be paid the same as legals if hired to work. i know it sounds crazy but look at it this way

if they get paid the same then theres no incentive to hire them, especialy since the employer gets slammed twice for hiring an illegal and then not paying him right.

BOOM! no incentive to hire illegals, illegals stop getting hired, illegals stop coming here, and the rest of illegals go home - wherever it is. that will fix the problem and make us real americans more self sufficient and keep our dollars here. unless.. the illegals resort to stealing. which is prolly what they'll end up doing. since they are already criminals for being here.

Wow. I don't like to say I agree completely with your real motives, as they are no doubt more malicious than the text reads, but in a small part I believe your reasoning with this system is sound.

I do believe that if something like this is put into place, it will in fact eliminate the incentive for people to hire those without work permits. But I think it would only work if there were strong enforcement. This is something I don't see happening.

Many big businesses hire contractors who in turn subcontract illegals to work for them. Walmart for example. I've personally talked to certain members of the night cleaning crew who fit this category. Big businesses profit from immigrant labor work force. In the end, it's not really what the average American wants that shapes our policy, but what is convenient and beneficial to those who really make the decisions in our government, the power players with money. They are the ones who have the money that influence politics. These days, it's about money. The people who are really in control don't care about race, religion, color, legal status, etc... they just care about lining their pockets.

The most effective policy in dealing with illegal immigration is to stop the exploitative hiring of illegals. That's pure common sense and the laws already exist, though rarely enforced.

There's a good reason these laws aren't enforced. The poor put-upon redneck ought to focus his hostility on the appropriate target. In a very real sense, the illegals are victims and the bigots are pawns in the same game.

Well, i'm actually down here in pasadena, texas for a few days, so here is my observation. Texas has always been largely mexican - probably since it used to be mexico. When kit carson, Davey Crockett, and all the early pioneers were invited to settle the land of texas by the mexican government (on the condition that the pioneers would declare their loyalty to Mexico, etc), Texas has always been primaily a mixture of german decent and mexican. Then, texas became a Republic - independant of the U.S.
Fast forward to today. As I drive around here today, the mexican population in Pasadena is quite large. Lots and lots of businesses depend on the population. If the illegals were deported in one big swoop, the State would go into recession. There is no question about that. There is really not much ground swell of support to do that since the entire history of Texas involves "illegals" coming in and out - the first illegals were American pioneers and now, the illegals are Mexican (mostly). Around here, the native Texans don't seem to be too put out with it; but there is more. Its not the fault of the immigrants, its the fault of the Government for not keeping the boarders secure. Once they're in, its hard to generate the will of the population as a whole, to get them out. And who can blame them for wanting to leave that rat hole to live a better life. That's something you and I would do also, given the same situation. Now, in other States, like Delaware, etc, without the history of Texas and Mexico, the immigration thing affects the demograpic much more; that is, people are not used to it (unlike Texans who are). That discussion is for another time.

Look folks, the fact is that darn near every country from the Rio Grande south to Tierra Del Fuego has lived the greater part of its existence under the yoke of either Fascist or Communist dictators. Until the people of Mexico and the other nations get it together and rise up against these conditions and we'll be dealing their problems here by supporting them without benefits to us.
That ain't gonna happen anytime soon or more likely EVER. These people have spent their pitiful lives for decades and centureies being stepped on by somebody and never finding the courage to deal with their own problems themselves. They steal into other countries and cause problems there without ever a thought to becoming a citizen for the freedom it offers. WHY? Because they always see them selves as citizens of the garbage dump they come from, they just don't have what it takes to help themselves at home so they come here and help themselves.
