Croats "Destroyed" Village in Medak Operation

The Croats were very careful not to destroy Knin or Medak or any other place in the Croatian territories that they re-captured and were very careful not to harm the "Serbian" population-regardless what these Vlah gypsy liers say!
No people on earth would tolerate being exploited by the Serbs as the Croatians and Kosovars did! These gypsies who call themselves Serbian when they are not should be lucky to be left alive!

17. The crime of persecution was perpetrated through the following:

a) the unlawful killing of Serb civilians and captured and/or wounded soldiers;

b) cruel and inhumane treatment of Serb civilians from the Medak Pocket, including causing serious injuries;

c) terrorising the predominantly Serb civilian population of the Medak Pocket, including forcing the civilian population to abandon their homes and leave the area permanently;

d) the destruction of personal property belonging to Serb civilians from the Medak Pocket, including destruction of their homes, farms, household goods and other equipment, the polluting of their wells and the killing of their farm animals;

e) the plunder of the personal property belonging to Serb civilians from the Medak Pocket.

COUNT 5 (WANTON DESTRUCTION OF CITIES, TOWNS OR VILLAGES)

22. From 9 September 1993 to on or about 17 September 1993, most Serb villages of the Medak Pocket were destroyed. Rahim ADEMI, acting individually and/or in concert with others, planned, instigated, ordered, committed or otherwise aided and abetted in the planning, preparation or execution of the destruction of property of Serb civilians of the Medak Pocket.

Annex VII - Medak investigation

Hundreds of Serbian homes in the Medak Pocket were destroyed, virtually hundreds of other buildings were destroyed, most animals were killed or taken, virtually all personal property was destroyed or taken, all vehicles and farm equipment were destroyed or taken, haystacks were fired, and many wells were polluted. Devastation was total.

The timing of the destruction is inconsistent with any legitimate military conduct or of military necessity. The bulk of this destruction occurred on 16 September, according to the many eyewitnesses. The sounds of the explosions, the rising of the smoke from fires, and the fact many buildings were still on fire as UN personnel entered the Pocket establish this.

The destruction occurred well after all Serb resistance had ended. There was no Serb resistance in the areas from which the explosions were heard and the rising smoke seen. All effective Serb forces had fled the area at the time of the bulk of the destruction. The devastation was wrought in an unopposed withdrawal, not a contested advance or retreat. Even the Croat liaison officer was forced to use an excuse not involving legitimate combat activity by the opposing forces. The scattered nature of the buildings, with the brief and desultory original Serb defence, does not explain this level of destruction.

The widespread destruction by demolition and fire is also generally inconsistent with legitimate military operations. If buildings are contested, then demolition charges cannot usually be placed inside them. Similarly, absent incendiary weapons, of which there is no evidence, being able to set fire to buildings implies an ability to approach and control them. That is inconsistent with enemy forces being present in them.

Various contradictory excuses given by the Croats for the destruction suggest the lack of any legitimate excuse for such widespread destruction.

its right in the article on this post that serbs were thankful to Mirko for giving the serbs a heads up to get out by exploding a few shells first b4 the assault. Now thats a noble act in the midst of war and hate,gotta give him that honor
