"Pentagon officials have acknowledged that between September 2003 and May 2008, 13 Americans — 11 military personnel and two civilian contractors — had been electrocuted in Iraq."

That must really mean "13 Americans have been FATALLY electrocuted in Iraq" because A LOT more than that have been electrocuted.

Electrocution is always fatal.
But you are right. Many more must have been shocked, some severely.

You'd think the dick Cheney would have pressured his former comrades at KBR to make sure our soldiers got the best KBR had to offer. Apparently nobody in the White House gives a crap about "supporting our soldiers". Nobody checked, nobody saw any need to keep an eye out for our guys.

Conservatives may now remove your flagpins, America is beginning to see right through you. Convenient patriotism I think they call it, only when it's easy.

Isn't it amazing what you can get away with when you're a no-bid contractor with connections to people in high places?

Check out the history of the Brown & Root Co. and it's involvment in Americas war's and politicians since the 60's. You could say I'm one of the most anti-conspiracy people around, but even this still has my head shaking. Several coincidences can be chalked up to chance. Several dozen, one right after another, is at the least intriguing.

Didn't Dwight David Eisenhower warn us about this stuff?

I still won't believe the Brown & Root conspiracy though the known facts alone read like a best selling novel! But multi-trillions of covert corporate dollars influencing our government's actions? Nah, never happen in a million years.

Well think about something here, with the massive mobilization of troops and persons in theater for over five years, and millions of points of contacts plugs, lights, switches, panels, cabling etc. It is just amazing how safe our troops and people have been. Not to diminish the tragedy, of these terrible electrocutions.
So in my opinion KBR has done an incredible job, and if there were lesser companies working on these bases I am sure you would have a higher incidence of electrocutions.

In electrical work there are two classifications:

STANDARD
SUB-STANDARD.

Sub-standard is unacceptable.
Electric contracting is not like shooting ducks with a shotgun. Really.
