Criminals will continue to perpetrate this kind of fraud until our lawmakers start getting tough on crime. Crime is rampant because penalties don't match the loss and heartache that crime victims suffer. Whatever happened to stiff prison terms with hard labor?

It should be easy to find this guy and his wife and when they do they should be sentenced to do hard time in prison.
Some homeowners think that just because they're upside down on their mortgage they can commit fraud and take advantage of innocent people.
This guy must have had some way to qualify for that mortgage when he bought the place in 2006 and the mortgage company or broker should be looked into as well whether the application was legal.

What a damned shame for all those who got scammed by this jackass and his wife! I am deeply sorry for all families involved, and hope they get on-going support in finding new lodging and re-imbursement for the deposit they lost to this joker. Stick together, file a class-action lawsuit against this bastard, and seize that home (along with any other property he owns) as the settlement! Freeze his bank accounts, as well. In total agreement with Keith and Van in previous posts. This con deserves a much more severe penalty than a "Paris Hilton" jail term for this heartache and grief. If I was the tenant in the garage, however, I would be a little more concerned than her rather blaise, flippant remark suggests!
