Its our fault

It's all a conspiracy. Because these guys have nothing better to do then target African Americans. Sounds like Antioch will continue to be a dumping ground for CoCo Counties low income housing while Cities like Walnut Creek and Danville and Alamo will have no interest in building Low Income housing. And of course the stock holders of KRON, KGO and KPIX and all the other news sources who probably live in San Francisco, Blackhawk, Sausalito or other upscale cities don't want this problem in their backyard so they paint the citizens of Antioch (And their police force) as a bunch of racists rednecks living out in the former farmlands of the bay area. This problem wouldn't exists if the NAACP and the ACLU lawers would focus on why other cities don't take their fair share of low income and build in their own cities. Of course the leaders of the NAACP and the ACLU attorneys probably live in the Oakland Hills or Piedmont and don't want it in their backyards either. So it's just easier to black Whitey in Antioch.

Get the Section 8 trouble makers out. Ya right, the APD find out who is black and who is section 8 then they go get them. Be real the police department goes after bad guys in response to crimes and complaints from law abiding citizens. The ACLU and NAACP needs to back out of this one because they are way off track. Go be usualful somewhere.

Why doesn't other cities take in Section 8? Why are cities like Alamo and Danville and Walnut creek mostly white in this day and age here in northern California?? They seem to have some sort of unwritten rule about renting or helping out people of other ethnicities. And not just Danville and Alamo. What about sausalito and tiberon. Out of all those wealthy homes you would think the city could generate enough money to start their own low income housing for Minorities? I was being sarcastic when I said the Antioch police targets blacks. I was saying just the opposite. White people on section 8 who get busted for voucher violations don't have anyone to run to. They can't play the race card. In the end, the city of Antioch and its taxpayers will flip the bill for any lawsuit that comes out of this. that's less money for schools.

I don't consider myself to be black, nor completely white since I'm mixed 1/2 white 1/2 asian, however there is no way that a police officer should mistaken me for a black person, yet I get treated like the black people say they are treated by the cops all the time. I drive a "Scraper" that is a little beat up and I get pulled over left and right for stupid nonsense. They make shit up to pull me over and then the give me the whole nine yards of questioning and citing for every and anything on top of intimidation and threats of being arrested on trumped up charges if I don't cooperate. Maybe I'm not white enough for them huh? Bastards! I think they are just assholes who abuse their power for their own personal gain and satisfaction. The system is broken because it has a quota system. I think that forces officers to find reasons to bust people instead of just being honest and saying "Well Chief, there just wasn't as much crime this month... sorry."

Dave Glad APD being sued
|
FORGOT to mention. Thank god for the ACLU. Someone needs to represent the common man against the abuses of the law enforcement agencies. I hope they get their asses sued off and lose alot of money. I hope some officers get fired and bad rap for racial profiling, economic profiling, and just profiling in general, and plain old discriminatory treatment of citizens. Everyone knows that cops don't bust cops because of their unspoken rule of "Professional Courtesy." They are always cutting breaks for friends and family. It's hypocrisy at its worst! TO HELL WITH THEM! SUE THEIR ASSES. EVERYBODY, MAKE A CASE WITH THE ACLU. NEVER HESITATE TO FILE A COMPLAINT. ALWAYS FILE YOUR LAWSUIT. ALWAYS! THIS WILL TEACH THEM THAT IT IS MORE COSTLY TO ABUSE THE LAW AND OUR RIGHTS THEN IT IS TO COMPLY WITH FAIR TREATMENT. ITS THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE THEM LEARN

Yes everyone has rights and those rights need to be protected for EVERYONE! That also means the decent, hardworking, taxpaying public paying for the WELFARE programs (which includes the SECTION 8 program) need to be protected from anyone not following the regulations that govern that program.

Hey did you hear about Antioch P.D is being sued by an Off-Duty Police Detective who was tasered in her own home on 07-07-07. The police kicked down this homeowners front door at (2am) then tasered the the woman who was unarmed. The Antioch P.D Officer who tasered this victim has a history of police brutality and lie and deny police tactics. Now what is strange about this incident that the woman who was "tasered" is Black and was refered by the police officer on an audio recording as an "alleged-Homeowner and alleged Police Officer" WOW!!!!!!. So it appears that black residents as a whole are being harassed/targeted and their Consitution Rights are being violated.....WHY?
|
|
search warrant
|
I was under the belief that the police needed a search warrant to enter someones home at 2am. do you know did the police had a search warrant to do what they did? If not then it is the police officer fault for violating this victims rights. Sadly, I see that the tax payer of Antioch dollars will be well spent.....paying this Afro-American "Homeowner" and "Police detective" a huge sum of money for her pain and suffering which could have been avoided if the A.P.D had not racially profiled this victims in her own home.

Good job ACLU

Keep up the good work ACLU we concerned citizens need an Organization like yours to examine the racist tactics of Chief J. Hyde who appears to have a pattern of this type of behavior ie, when he was the Chief of Police at Davis Police Department.

your wouldn't say this crap if they lived next door to you. i have 2 sect8 neighbors on my street and guess what...the black family is a pain in the ass and the white family has a clean yard, no barking dogs, don't do burn outs down the road and are kind and respectful. is it because they are whit?, NO it is because they are RESPECTFUL to their neighbors and THANKFUL that they have a roof over their heads. if the troublemakers are BLACK, that is just how it is. they are targeted because they are RUDE, not because they are sect8 or Black.

Antioch needs a vigilente committe. It's time to quit being politically correct, and let "these people" know that they're welcome in Antioch. Let's cut the crap. If "these people" want to stay in Antioch and not live by the rules, then lets make life misarable for them. The same way they have been making our lives miserable. Remember there are still a hell of a lot more of "us" than "them." Let's take quit hiding like cowards behind our locked doors and windows, and "engage" the enemy. We need a war mentality, not a "politically correct" one. Contact takebackantioch@yahoo.com for more information.

The ACLU saw to it a child molester got out of prison early due to their law suits against the citizens of Calif. What great work they do for the downtrodden! I just pray this guy molests a ACLU lawyer's child! Poetic justice at it's best!

I just pray this guy molests a ACLU lawyer's child! Poetic justice at it's best! I agree. If we remain victims we will always be victims. It is time to step up and fight back agaist this crime. While the police do a great job in what they are asked to do, the criminals out number the police and will continue to make you and I victims unless we continue to act against them! While I hate the gang concept, sometimes you have to fight fire with fire, and eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. Good people need to assemble and create a common voice, be it a public voice or a coordinated hard handed physical effort to push back this element! The reason for this crime is that these folks know that your intimidated by them and their actions, and that you will not act and rely on the justice system. The justice system is poor, and finding the responsible party is always difficult. You need to stand up as a community and fight back!! These poeple only know violence in a means to make a living and gain respect. We have to take this power away. We have seen this cancer spread east from the Oakland area over the years, and will continue to spread until WE PUSH BACK! Man up and don't be a victim. Secure your neighborhoods by assembling gropus of abled people willing to fight back and secure your communities and childrens future! Don't be a victim!

There are several black and mixed families on my block that take really good care of their yard. I've seen some White families that don't take good care of the properties they live in. But at the same time, the only black people crying racism is the ones on Section 8 while black families who rent or own say they're having the same problem. Its not blacks are the only ones that are like this, it's they're the only ones who can use the race card to keep their section 8. If a white family caused the same problem, they wouldn't have anything to defend themselves. I think they call this reverse racism and it's a reality.

Just the Facts

We don't need any more laws, they already exist! The problem is that the minute someone tries to enforce the laws, people keep coming up with some discrimination excuse for their own bad behavior! I agree the police have enough power already, they just need to work on being more judicious, diligent, and a lot more consistent on tamping down these problems constantly, constantly, constantly until they rid the city of these problems. Loitering, disturbing the peace, stealing, vandalism, posession of illegal/concealed weapons/drugs, unlicensed guns, assault and battery, destruction of property, harassment, threatening people, trespassing, hanging out in the street while not crossing in a legal crosswalk, even unlawful gatherings and protests without a permit are all illegal etc...! The key is enforcement of the laws we already have on the books to protect the majority of the citizenry from the lawbreakers consistently and constantly until the problem is solved. And when the citizenry feels that they are not being protected properly from the lawbreakers, then they need to go to the City Officials, school district, police, County,(Contra Costa Housing Authority) State, Federal Officials, and keep demanding that the situation be corrected until it is.

These violators are not just section 8 housing citizens, but many are. If you lived near them you would also raise a voice to the problem. Especially if you work hard to pay your mortgage, and the section 8 folks pay their minimums and drive their Escaldes, BMW's, Lexus' and go into the community and commit crimes to pay for these benefits.
It is a mindset of "something for nothing." Not just with housing, but with everything! They think that they can take anything when ever they feel the need! These economic times will reveal that this behavior will become more prevalant and people need to be prepared!
Stop the mindless crime and the victims need to stand up and fight back!!!! Don't be a victim!!! FIGHT BACK!!

This is only about section 8 trouble tenants and not troubled families. You can't do anything with a group of thugs who's parents own the house. But if they're on state assitances then thats a different issue. It's not picking on section 8 it's saying "how dare you treat your neighbors like this and disrespect peoples when they as tax payers are paying for your housing". I hear People violating their civil rights but they never talk about our civil rights when they don't act with civil and violate your freedoms of wanting to live in a safe enviorment and not be physically threatened or harrassed by them.
