Why did you wait so long to do something about ?

Spend time and our governments money on other uses rather than attacking people who are working and trying to make a living. Help the homeless and children and flood victims

So you are OK with the shyster broker who gives the industry a bad name, and hurts us ALL in the long run? All in the name of "trying to make a living"? Bank Robbers are just "trying to make a living" too. Should we call off the dogs on them too, in order to “help the homeless etc…….? You make me puke. And since when is it "the government's money"? No, wakeup call for you, it's the TAXPAYER'S money. Obviously you exist at the teat of government. And the TAXPAYER will be getting the protection from future mortgage meltdowns due to shoddy broker practices. Plus recoup any costs with the licensing fees. |

1 I agree with Sown Oats comments. These guys should have been doing this long ago. Apparently as slow as government operations are, they are finally getting around to it. Hope this does knock some of these guys that were making a killing off the average Joe. These guys were the ones selling the subprime mortgages so, they should have to take a test and pass it. Hope this does what it is supposed to do. |

So you are now extending the deadline one month because the brokers only had one year to prepare and then said screw your test. Good job Todd. Thats showing them you mean business!

There are too many fingers in the mortgage pie. All the unneccesary fingers wind up cheating homebuyers out of a lot of money. Mortgage brokers are able to write their own tickets and too many are just plain dishonest and shysters. They need to be regulated and rules put in place and strictly enforced, that THEY have to abide by or go to prison for at least 5 years and all monies returned and all properties seized they have accumulated thru fraudulent practice. In indiana their dishonest, fraudulent, free ride,is over, hopefully.

Way past time Secretary of State does something. Here they are once again EXTENDING the deadline which was set at July 1st. Grow some balls guys!! You let Jason Keigley of 1st Place Mortgage operate his mortgage business over 2 years after his license was revoked yet you never closed his doors. Secretary of State was WELL aware he was frauding paperwork, closing loans w/o license, using customer's social security numbers for fraud, obtaining credit cards in the customer's names....yet you did nothing. You have dragged your feet in the investigation which he should have already been charged with. Hendricks County did what you failed to do. Marion County jumped in for the news conference, tv time and interview when Hendricks County arrested him cuz after all that looks good to make it seem like you care about Hoosiers. Where were you during the sentencing?? Didn't even take the time to SHOW UP! There are numerous people in financial ruins because of this man. There are numerous homes foreclosed because of his actions and YOUR failure to stop him. Great he is sitting in prison now thanks to Hendricks County but what good does that do for the people he continued to financially ruin?? I understand someone at the Secretary of State is trying to put on a good front for an upcoming election seat they want...better get your act together!!!
