I not able to receive a modification through my mortgage holder, Chase. Supposedly, I have too much equity. However, cannot refinance because of my recent divorce and left with lots of debt. During divorce, I fought fiercely to keep the house so my children and I would have a place to live, am now faced with losing it with little or rather "no" assistance from Chase. I thought I could benefit from"Making Homes Affordable". I've had the house for 10 years, so clearly could make the mortgage payment until now.
