Obama's economic policies and socialist agenda are job killers. Not to mention the $10 trillion deficit, which will drive up interest rate and inflation and cause even more job loss in the near future. Obama is the worst president, ever.

Social Justice wrote: Obama's Administration promised unemployment would not go over 8.0% if we passed the situmulus. What did we get for our Trillion dollars? Unemployment up to 9.5% and rising. Socialism does not work- and no, Obama hasn't nationalized the whole economy yet, try as he might. So the economy will eventually get a sluggish, "jobless" recovery. But we will not see low 5% unemployment again under Obama like we saw in Clinton-Bush years. Just wait until Obama is done nationalizing health care. Get used to scarce jobs at least through 2012. That is the change you voted for. And just wait until the so-called "energy bill" is fully implemented, the unemployment rate will be in 25% range.

Bush spends his days calling businesspeople demanding that they make Obama "fail" by laying people off. Millions have lost their jobs under Obama already. Yup, it sure is Bush's fault every time a company CEO looks at the Obama future and says "uh oh" and issues a couple hundred pink slips. Obama is running out of excuses. The "Everything-is-Bush's-fau lt" strategy is getting very old. People, even the ones who voted for Obama, are waking up to the fact that Obama is driving this country to the ground.

To liberals, their ideas are helpful! They think they are are helping humanity! How? ...Because they want everything "equal". Normal people want things better, but Modern Liberals reject this. They have to tear at success to make things "equal." This is why they never apologize or change course when their ideas create and foster hopelessness, despair and death. Look at the inner cities: over 40 years of intense liberalism and they won't change course. In the mean time, how many lives have they ruined??? Remember, you can't blame Bush or "the last 8 years" as they have been running things in the inner cities since the 60's - not coincidentally when the problems really started getting bad. So what we are dealing with is people who have an entirely different belief system than normal people. Once people understand this, it gets easier to deal with them. Here is the link. This talk is very, very good: youtube.com/watch... Do you get paid for plugging this silly "Modern Liberal" stuff? You have 2200+ posts and a very large number of them, the ones that can be read at all, just repeat these cliches over and over again without explaining anything or offering any points on the stories you presume to be commenting upon. I wouldn't be surprised if you thought that "Modern Liberals" were behind Michael Jackson's death! So what is it, the you are selling franchises? Or is it just that you have nothing else to say about anything? What would you do to get employers to start hiring? What would you do to improve the lot of the minorities in the inner cities - the people that you so despise? Do you have anything to offer besides hawking your treasured ML clips? What is it that you think about anything - or does everything refer back to one of your five video clips or CNBC programs?

Look at how well it has worked out in other countries.

That's the democrat's game plan, and the main reason that democracies are always temporary by nature. Pretty soon this country will be divided between people that work vs. the poor and unions. It'll be interesting how the battle lines will be drawn, and what the end result will be. barry was right, WE WON, it's a shame that the USA lost. That's the truth. These progressive liberal politicians want everyone government dependent because it gives them all the power to create their idea of a socialist utopia. Its only a matter of time before towns, counties or states start succeeding from the union.

The division between political parties within the populus of this country is a huge issue. But like most Americans, you would all rather post on anonymous message boards complaining than offer a solution to the very real and dire issues this country is currently facing. Policitcians didn't kill this country. The American people and their lazy consumption based lifestyles are what ultimately will change the way of life for generations to come. I'm not a politician but I would say REWARDING private business for hiring American citizens and cutting taxes would be a HUGE start to an economic recovery. Obama is doing the exact opposite though! Besides, talking to a liberal about economics is like talking to a tree stump, how do you think Obama got elected with this type of delusional economic plan anyways? liberals and liberals cunning attempts to exploit stupid people alas ACORN.

Frankly wrote: We need to hold our elected officials (both Republican and Democrats) responsible for not fixing this unemployment mess. I understand that we foolishly based our economy of American citizens spending instead of us producing products for the world. That model is no longer working and needs to be changed. We changed to that model, we certainly change from it. With us nearing officially 10% unemployment, also include in the underemployed, banks not wanting to give loans and cutting credit card limits, and a another complete mess in the housing market - how exactly are Americans going to spend ourselves out of this mess? Like it or not, it is time to start up the NRA (no, not that one, The National Recovery Administration) and start putting people back to work. People digging ditches and other people filling them back in is better then 10% of Americans sitting at home. As for those who own companies and are dependent on Americans to keep your company profitable by buying your products, how is every company cutting labor costs working out for you? All you all are doing is eliminating money from your employees that they would be spending at other companies. Other companies are doing the same to you. Slowing you are putting each other out of business. This business model has a major flaw in it It doesn’t matter who started this mess, who is charge of it or who wants to blame somebody else for it. Start acting like adults and fix it. EXACTLY.. I have been saying that for years and all as I heard from my Democrat friends is the government won't bring back our manufacturing base.. from the look of OBAMA'S speeches they are right.. who says China and India are stupid they wouldn't sign on to the agreement to kill their income base.. but OBAMA did.. how lucky are we, we can starve like the 3rd world countries now.. by the way last I heard unemployment with all those groups you included was around 20% and rising.. However, there is NO common sense or logic on the HILL..

Bob wrote: Can't fight statistics but.....if 14.7M people are out of work and they make up 9.5% of the workforce, this means 140.03M people are going to work each day. It also means of the over 304M people we have in the US only roughly one out of two works for a living. So if you really want to get headlines you could point out that over 50% of the amercian population is out of work. How's that for fearmongering? That would be fine but 304m includes kids that don't work.. but soon we might have to have them get jobs too if things get worse.. using the 9.4% unemployment is miss leading.. it does not include those that ran out of unemployment..or those that found jobs at 1/4 of their previous salary.. Hows that for reality???

Just an Observation wrote: <quoted text> Yes, but the trillion dollar question - who and how will we pay for such a recovery? If $787,000,000,000 was not enough to even make a dent, how much WOULD it take? And are we just going to shoulder it onto the next generation? If so, I'll let my kids know when they come that they should save as early as possible to retire in another country - they certainly won't be able to here! The works projects were supported by both parties and I do believe they work to a certain degree. But without responsibile funding for such programs, it's only robbing Peter to pay Paul. It would have been cheaper to give each adult that is a legal citizen a million dollars.. not only it have bailed out the banks as people paid off their houses.. and cars.. and went out and spent the rest.. at least then we know why were going to pay higher taxes..

Conspiracy Alert: The real reason to keep inflation and unemployment rising is to create an artificial demand for healthcare reform. The more people out of work, the more people without healthcare; thus, more demand for government run insurance and healthcare.

He may have made things worse. The same goes for Obama, who inherited this awful recession. Policies, such as the global warming legislation (the one that cuts quality of life for Americans) and health care (driving out of business the system that has worked so far for so many of our citizens and replacing it with a one-size-fits-all costly government program), are simply the wrong direction for the country to take. I don't want to wait until 2013 for the country to start heading in the right direction. It may be too late by then. Do you want to know why all this rush rush on these spending bills?? Get Real wrote: <quoted text> Don't be silly, if the Chinese stop lending us money we will just print more. This happened recently (most news sources did not report this besides the WSJ). We "printed" $400 Billion. This infuriated all of the countries with large USD reserves, i.e. China, Russia, Japan, etc. They are all calling for a basket currency for global trade instead of the USD. Remember when the EUR/USD jumped from 1.26 to 1.38 practically overnight? Policies like these make other countries uncertain about the dollar's ability to store their wealth, and therefore unwilling to purchase additional assets (i.e. treasuries). Next time he wants money these countries are more likely to flip him off instead of write him a check. would them flipping him off be a bad thing?? It might be the reality check AMERICAN'S need.. as long as the money flows they have their heads up their butts.. stock up on food.. and hold on things are going to get real bad.. they just passed some kind of health care bill in the senate.. go see your doctor now and get a physical while you can.. and hold on to your wallets.. cost of good also went up .7 last month we are on our way down unless someone stops the Dems now..
