A better solution than requiring the prepayment of premiums would be to nationalize all the financial institutions in the United States.
History shows us that private corporations can not be trusted to be good stewards of the public's money. They take unreasonable risks in order to achieve profits. They flat out steal the money from investors. And they abuse the trust that the citizens of this country have in them. Nationalizing financial institutions would resolve all of those problems since the root cause is greed and the quest for profits. Since the government is not in the business of chasing profits, the citizens of this country would be safe from the risks that crooked CEO's typically take. |
