"POWDER SPRINGS, Georgia (Reuters)- Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama rejected charges on Tuesday that he has shifted positions on Iraq and other issues as part of a move to the center now that he is his party's nominee.
As he positions himself for the battle against Republican John McCain, the Illinois senator abandoned a vow to reopen the North American Free Trade Agreement, did not oppose a Supreme Court decision striking down Washington's gun ban and said he would support expanding the government's wiretap authority.
Most recently, he signaled more flexibility on his pledge to quickly pull U.S. troops out of Iraq, telling reporters last week he might "refine" his views based on what happens on the ground.
Asked about his Iraq policy at a town hall meeting in Powder Springs, Obama rejected claims he was softening his insistence on a withdrawal of U.S. troops from the country.
He also said he hoped he could more generally counter "this whole notion that I am shifting to the center or that I'm flip-flopping or this or that."
"You know, the people who say this apparently haven't been listening to me," Obama said."
He is the politician of CHANGE and he HOPEs you don't remember what he says.
Oh wow,now I'd better find my own partisan news posting!
Just when you thought free thinkers were a thing of the past.

He's proposing this so all his cousins can file for bankruptcy and us taxpayers will have to pay for it.

It's funy how Devo just resorts to name calling and gibberish instead of putting together a somewhat intelligent response. A typical liberal, doesn't really know what the heck is going on.

Blah, Blah, Blah! Only thing Obamas, proposed is tax-increases. And going to Ragheadsville, to kiss some butts. It's a joke he's even running for President. But his voters will be funnier.

Why do all you people keep blaming Bush for the economy? It's a DEMOCRATIC majority in Congress and they are the ones making the budget, making the laws, etc. Get with it, Dumbocrats.
Because, you ignorant fool, it has been Republican policies over the last 7 years that have gotten us to where we are. The Democrats do not have a veto-proof or even filibuster-proof majority in Congress (yet); Bush vetoes any progressive legislation that would help real working Americans. Stop being a lemming, Sheila, and grow up.

we've been bushwacked every time the idiot has signed another budget bill that totally debt financed his unholy war. you now owe the saudis and the red chinese $189,000.00 for his reckless spending. we owe much of this to the idiots butt-buddies in yemen and saudi arabia, the same ones that funded the 9/11 terrorists. and we will bleed dollars for decades to pay for his follies.

Daily Horoscope for December 12

Sagittarius

You're much more voluble and articulate today, so you might want to have another go at telling someone what's bugging you at the moment. However, don't get so carried away that you end up dominating the conversation, especially if it's obvious that this person also has things that they need to talk about. Give them a chance to have their say.
