Bledsoe County inmates to tend garden

PIKEVILLE, Tenn. -- A cloudless sky overhead, freshly turned soil beneath their orange flip-flops and Crocs, a dozen inmates at the Bledsoe County Detention Center pick clumps of grass and rocks from the dirt to ready the jail's first garden for planting.

Well I have seen some of the dirt around there when they was building the new jail and it looked to me like it was nothing but red clay but I wish them luck I hope they have a successful garden but a garden really needs good top soil

They need to grow medical marijuana, but they will probably be growing pumpkins.
