Think it's a mental recession? Looks real to me! Note that the High end outfits are doing fine. There is not as much middle Just the ends and a big disconnect between the two.

It is amazing that McCain's economic adviser Phil Gramm would call this a "mental recession". Average wages adjusted for inflation have declined 2.4% in the last year. This is a real economic squeeze. McCain's problem is that he wants to make permanent the Bush Supply Side policies that caused the Stagflation.
