my wife constantly yells "oh my god, oh my god" so I figured I was entitled to everyone's money since it had my new name on it. now I find out it doesn't belong to me. Am I in trouble. I have a an audio tape to prove that's who I am referred to as.

If not the winner, Salamone is surely a top contender in the Darwin Award competitions for 2009.

Paul Salamone knew what he was doing. He showed people phony documents to make them believe he owned the houses he rented out. He actually picked the locks that were installed by brokers after the foreclosure sales.

Salamone knew better. After a foreclosure sale, they have "bank owned" signs on properties. You can't miss it.

Eric Naiburg may be right. His client is stupid. But, stupid or not, Paul Salamone knew what he was doing. And what he did was pretty stupid.

I feel sorry for his and his girlfriend's kids. I would hate to be his pregnant girlfriend. I'm glad I didn't get pregnant by some loser like him.

The verdict against Paul Salamone is justified.
Paul Salamone and his brother Joseph Salamone pulled a scam on my father who is their grandfather. My father recently passed away here in California. My father lost his apartment in New York City because of Joseph and Paul Salamone
My father suffered from alzheimers and was denied
entry. I took them to court and had them evicted.
Paul Salamone or Joseph Salamone maybe both destroyed the apartment. The kitchen cabinets, sinks, bathroom fixtures and etc. were removed.'There was also a drawing of a penis on the kitchen wall with a picture of my mother who is their grandmother on the wall. My mother passed away 15 yrs. ago. The housing authority in New York took the apartment from us and my father passed away in California and he wanted to be back in New York City where he was born. Paul Salamone and Joseph Salamone had forged my fathers signature while he was in Ca and had it notoried by two notaries in New York. Yes he deserve to have maximum sentence by law because he destroyed lives.

Too bad the judge didnt put Naiburg in the cell next to him. Talk about a criminal. There is no doubt in my mind that Naiburg will rot in H-E-L-L.

What a scamming jerk this guy is. To think that a lawyer would even take this case is probably more pathetic. Isn't a lawyer supposed to believe his client is innocent? How could anyone believe a story of supposed ignorance like this! Both should be locked up together.

A lawyer doesn't necessarily have to find the client innocent. If there's a good case against the defendant, the lawyer's strategy is to find legal loopholes to get them off or reduce charges on technicalities, shoddy police work, the like or to cut a good deal.

This was a hard case because nobody will believe someone doing this kind of thing didn't know any better. Give me a break. Eric Naiburg was struggling for a defense for this guy because there really wasn't a good one.

Even rats know when to jump off a sinking ship. This probably was a case where the defendant wouldn't accept the lawyer's advice, but the esteemed attorney (who lost to the rookie prosecutor!) shoulda snuck out the back door of the courthouse.

When i found out that my brothers son the Jerk was busted for this I knew he wasn't going to take a plea. You see this kid thought he could get over on anyone.He is just like his father and mother STUPID.
When he gets to prison I am sure he will try to get over on the inmates and when he does they will see right through it and then he will get some street justice.If he were smart he should ask to be into punk city(protective custody)but he won't ask thats because he thinks he could out slick everyone. Oh well Paul keep your butt cheeks closed if you can' You punk!!!

I wonder how many other scams he has pulled over the years.they should probably check the house he lived in with his girlfriend and maybe she was involved in scams too.I wouldn't be surprised if My brother or his other retard of son Joseph were involved in things too.They were involved when they took over my fathers apartment.

I wonder if the attorney's practice will suffer because of this "stupid defense" I'm not an attorney but I do know that theres no such thing as ignorance of the Law.

I thought a sentence of 20yrs would be too harsh when rapists and molestors don't get that harsh of a sentence but after reading your story 20yrs is way too short of a time in prison. I hope his brother gets caught breaking the law so he will go to prison too!

Sadly, there are so many like this con man out there. It is only a matter of time before they all get arrested.

I got scamed too. I had started a landscaping biz with Paul and another friend. for two years we worked our butts off and purchased thosands of dollars in equipment (which he still has). I never took pay, the agreement was that he would pay my car insurance. One day i get hit by a car and later find out that his checks to my insurance company bounced. he denied this even after the insurance company sent me a copies of the bounced check. For the last 7 years my life has been hell. The woman who hit me took me to court and won a judgement. I could not pay and then my liscense got suspended becuase of the judgement. I cannot speak for his family and i feel terible for his girlfriend and kids, but in the end we all must reap what we sow.

This piece of crap broke into my home, stole everything, and rented it out, taking advantage of my situation. I know my testimony helped put him away, and I'll be there on 8/6 to make sure this bastard rots for the full 20 years. I have no doubt, that if given a chance, then he will do it again. I wish it was life.
