And the best part is any saving realized by the Republican austerity program will all be eliminated by the tax cuts for the rich they want to hand out.

..... Parties have their agendas, and they want to do what the people want who voted for them, even if it's all wrong to do that at that time, or even at any time. Proper timing is important; but will the system allow that?
