Belva should not expect a bank to carry her on its back. If she cannot hold up her end, then she should get out. What's with these freeloading goldbrickers anyway? Is it a Detroit thing to be stoopit?

Belva appears to be holding up her end. She bled herself dry trying to keep up with an underwater home in depressed Detroit while while the average selling price is $6,000 and some houses are $1. In the end the bank simply did what they are being given money for (OBAMA CASH) and renegotiated the mortgage to something more in line with reality. Otherwise, they might have received that $6,000 or $1 on an auction sale.
Some are suggesting just giving Detroit homes to the homeless while neighbors continue to pay their bills. At least Belva is trying to be part of the system and remain a taxpaying, mortgage paying owner.
