Fox 8 Turkey Bowl

I've been called a BIG TURKEY for quite awhile now. So, what would be better than a big turkey, bowling with a big turkey, for a big turkey prize, all for a great cause. Plus I've watched every year and I want to see first hand if you guys are really having that much fun or what...

I watch every year, i think it would be a blast to participate, my wife is always laughing at me while she is slaving over a hot stove/ oven preparing THANKSGIVING dinner

I am writing for my daugther, JENNIFER BARAUSKAS. Jenny is a veteran of OPERATION IRAQ FREEDOM, she served in the UNITED STATES ARMY at the time. She first saw TURKEY BOWL when she came home on R&R. She laughed the whole time she was watch. I saw how much she enjoyed it. Now JENNIFER is enlisted in the OHIO AIR FORCE NATIONAL GUARD. She is been deployed to AFGANASTAN in February. I would love to give her a time that she has left at home, something that she can look back on, and smile. Jennifer has a smile that could brighten the darkest places. She can break out into the "happy dance" for nephew (22 months old), and make him giggle with shear happiness. Jennifer has the same effect on adults. She can make you smile even when you don't want to. She is one of the most loving and undestanding people I know. I would love to give her EVERYTHING she wants while she is still HOME. Jennifer is a perfect canadate for the TURKEY BOWL. Give her a chance to make you laugh, smile and do the "happy dance"

I'm a Barber in a small shop in Parma,and about Fox 8 to the bone.I was on the It's Friday Sow about 8 years ago,and was a Turkey Bowler about 5 years ago,but was distracted by Dan C. as I about to throw my bird in the semi finals,(hold no grudge).My cliants bug me every year about wanting to see me try it again,becaue this shop screams for one of the trophys,you would has to see the place to understand,we do have Ghoulardi on the wall along wiith Earnie Anderson,Tim Conway(the record),even have a pink Flamingo in the front window.I would hate to let alot of poor WW11 vets down another year,not to mention the children.How about another shot? Please!!!

My husband, Barry the barber, dreams about throwing that turkey, his arm kind of twitches in his sleep. I would sure get a better night's sleep if you could just let him take his talent to the grocery isle this year.

The Fox 8 turkey bowl is a rich Cleveland tradition.I am Cleveland through and through and I feel Cleveland is the best location in the nation.One of my goals in life is to bowl in the Fox 8 turkey bowl!

I do apologize for the post going in so many times,I was tring to get my picture of me to go in and still cant figure it out also I dont know why all my words were messed up so i did it again then it posted double I am not the best at computers butI an tired it is 3:05 am and i started doing this at 9:00pm ...so Im tired and good night !!!!!

I grew up watching Fox8 news and also the weather with Dick Goddard.(you still look the same as when I was a kid!) I remember as a child going door to door collecting money for the Jerry Lewis Telethon. And coming to Fox8 news to dump the donations in the fish bowl with Big Chuck and Lil John.( I miss that) I already did a post but I couldn’t figure out how to put in a picture and then I wrote this and didn’t know how to send it on this Microsoft 2007 thing .And I erased it some how.. So here I am doing it all over again, this now has took me 2 hours to do and I’m not done yet. But then again, it is worth it, for 2 reasons : for the thought I’m about to write, and for the thought to get to others …and also to let you know ,I’m not just doing it to be in the turkey bowl ,I’m writing this to have everyone remember: How Thankful you are ! so here it is ….see below………..
******** A THANKSGIVING THOUGHT ********
If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over head and a place to sleep….you are richer than 75% of this world. If you have money in the bank ,in your wallet ,or spare change in a dish some place…you are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy. If you woke up this more with more health then illness…you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week. If you have never experienced the danger of battle ,or loneliness, or even starvation you are ahead of 500 million people in the world. If you hold your head up with a smile on your face and are truly thankful…you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not. If you can hold someone’s hand, hug them or even touch them on the shoulder…you are blessed because you can offer a healing touch. If you can read this then you just received a double blessing, because there are over 2 billion people in this world that can’t read at all..so remember to COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS everyday!( even knowing Thanksgiving only comes once a year.) And when you are sitting at your table with your family this Thanksgiving remember the TROOPS who fight for our FREEDOM !! And the homeless and the hungry children and how good the lord has been to you with all the blessings he has given …Happy Thanksgiving Fox8news ,And to all who read this……. GOD BLESS!!!
