why does amy klobuchar care? Why does jason hoppin care? HSA can hire who they want. They don't have to consult nitwit rookie politicians about their personnel decisions.

We should all care. Looks like she'll do anything for money except the right thing (some of it our tax money). And you want her anywhere near homeland security?! So anyone could buy her off? She 'neglected to mention' MNDOT as a past employer. I do just wonder why. A fast food place wouldn't even hire someone with such a record.

"If TSA knew, why did it hire her? And is there evidence that politics or cronyism played a role in the decision?"......... Geez Amy, that's how the system works. YOU should know that. The world would be a better place if we just shut down Washington and send everyone home...... look at the money we could save.

The point is, she made a mistake last year and she has paid dearly for it. She has a right to be employed and support herself. His politics by the DFL is interesting. If they applied this same principle to their own the likes of Bill Finney, former police chief for SPPD woul dbe in jail now. If she was able to get hired, then she should be judged on her job preformance from her new job. Let the people out there cast the first stone who are perfect. I think it is really sad to punish a person for a issue that is old. What level to you want to punish this woman, take her home, a gallon of blood? This woman needs a job and what happened here is wrong. She should be able to get a new job and move on with her life.

Man, they have people there yelling at customers and swearing. I wonder if the people working there are from that sentenced to serve program?! Food was good. Only the manager and person taking food orders were presentable humans. Good luck to that establishment. Sorry off topic, I know. My bad...

Like they want her to be pushing a cart down Hennepin Ave the rest of her life for screwing up. Shame on people for not being humane. My guess is that many people here, acting judgmentally, have been fired from a job and aren't now paying for it the rest of their lives flipping burgers.

She was previously fired for incompetency among other reasons. Doesn't it make you just a wee bit alarmed that Homeland Security would hire someone who had recently been fired for incompetency?

I don't want to "punish" her but neither do I want a person fired for incompetency working for a federal agency in charge of the nation's security.

Ummmm.... didn't HSA change their minds and "de-hire" her once the Minnesota brouhaha came to their attention? If so, story's over, folks. Nothing more to see here...

The persons responsible for hiring her at both the state and federal level should be fired. The person who promoted her to a supervisor at MNDOT should be gone. ACCOUNTABILITY......

Truth Be Told

Hey Amy, TSA does what's called a background check to identify criminal history. Google that rookie Senator! Criminal History. If they denied employment based on poor judement, half the management team would be fired! Listen Amy, if you're looking for face-time with the national media, work at getting our gas prices down. TSA did good by bringing this to our attention with her termination. There you go....the Truth Has Been Told!

Sure, she ought to get a job, but she needs to find one she is qualified for. Her last two jobs, she wasn't qualified for.

Just read the whole story. Hey, news fans, Senator Klobuchar's comments and investigative questions etc. where well within her job description. Forget partisan politics and look at this hiring mess overall. Even Gov. Pawlenty calls it "...a strange decision...".[Forgetting politics] Would you hire this person with her track record, job inadequacies, and controversial history? Some nitwit in Washington did. Doesn't that tell you something? Senator Klobuchar is doing what she was supposed to do; represent MN and its citizens; by doing her job!
