I think it's only right that the process be made easier for felons who have served their sentences to have their rights restored. What ever happened to having "paid their debt to society"? For the rights to not be restored amounts to being sentenced twice for the same crime, which is unconstitutional. If the government wants these people to continue paying for the crime long after they have served their sentence, then the sentences should be lengthened. Otherwise, restore the rights immediately.

i think that any person who served his time and return into society should be given their voting again.There have been plenty of men who have returned home and after 10,20,30,or more years cannot vote.Other states are more progressive in their actions of actually paving the way for more productive individuals then Virginia!
