I know Chick-Fil-A because they are one of my clients. I think they show great courage standing behind their convictions, when many merchants pander. The Company is conservative Christian, traditional family oriented like many in the South. They do not open on Sunday because they want their employees to spend that time with family. All they said is that they do not support same sex marriage. "We are very much supportive of the family - the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that," Cathy is quoted as saying.(CNN 07/19/2012). Most polls show that between 50 and 70 percent of Americans do oppose same sex marriage, which puts Chick-Fil-A in line with at least half of the country. There is nothing in this to suggest that they are bigotted or hateful. Nobody said that they don't serve gays, or don't want them in the store. This is a very successful, private business under attack by the left. Nothing new here. Why don't you be an individual and go try their food, see how clean the restaurant is, how friendly the employees are before you label them.

I don't think the Catholic church is the issue. Anyone who expresses an opinion against same sex marriage is a target and gets labled a bigot. What a shame that in this country you cannot simply state your position on an issue without someone or some group spewing hatred toward you for it.

Actually no thats not all they said. They have donated millions to some of the most hateful anti-gay groups out there and when the CEO was asked about it he called gay people arrogant and deranged.

Hes a hateful bigot. Much like you obviously are.

Scumbag.

Spending millions to deny people their civil rights isnt quite the same thing as expressing an opinion.

Heres on for ya. UCC has gay marriage rites in their churches. If you deny gay marriage you are denying them their first amendment rights to freedom of religion. Not only is he an anti-gay bigot he is guilty of persecution against their religion.

You see moron, you are free to express your view and say you dont like gay marriage. When you try to force your views on others and deny them their freedom to live their lives according to their own religion then youre a bigot.

Hope this helps.

mahz_ do you have "proof" (news footage, newspaper quotes, etc) to support your claim. I have seen nothing that backs up what you say. Now don't misunderstand, Im not saying you are wrong, I would just like to know where your "facts" come from.

You are right. I am free to express my view, like you are. That is one of the pillars most Americans believe in. Agreement is optional. Leftists often start a debate with an accusation about how they are offended, and denied something. The same labels are used again, and again. Bigot! Racist! Hater! What did Chick-fil-A deny you? You don't like their philosophy, don't eat there. What did my opinion deny you? If you don't like it, ignore it, or present an opposing comment with some class. Stop trying to be a victim.

Im not the victim. Its the gay people who are being denied their civil rights.

And Chic-Fil-A is spending millions to do it.

You see, forcing your religious views onto others and demanding that they live their lives according to your religious views, even at the expense of their own that's bigotry.

You are free to say you dont agree with gay marriage. When you start spending millions to pass laws to stop people from having it, especially when there are churches that believe in it, you are guilty of persecution.

Thats not liberal, conservative, or moderate. Its logic.

BTW Im not a liberal. I just believe people should be free to live how they choose, without laws being passed by others to deny them their freedoms based on some bronze age imaginary man in the sky bullshit.

You are again right... twice in one day! Much like a broken clock. It happens sometimes, even with your limited sense of reason.

Anyone.. I say again ANYONE is free to say what they wish.
You lead off with accusations about "You" forcing and demanding, but you offer no proof.

Your last statement is about how tolerant you are, and then throw an insult at people of faith. In other words, you just contradicted yourself.
