Saltsburg Borough cites age limit for trick-or-treating

Saltsburg Borough will hold its annual trick-or-treat night 5-7 p.m. Oct. 26, followed by the Saltsburg Volunteer Fire Department's Halloween parade at 7 p.m. At Monday night's meeting, council member Elizabeth Rocco reminded the public that trick-or-treating is intended for children age 12 or younger.

This way, everyone will already be downtown for the parade at 7 pm. Who cares if they are over 12 years of age? Is ol' Cookie gonna go on foot patrol to make sure everyone is "legal"? Ha ha.

We're paying them overtime to keep our streets orderly. We will prosecute any child who gets out of hand. Remember 1 piece of candy per child, under 12 years of age, of course.
