Wow! It looks like--for once--the truth got its boots on before THIS lie got half-way around the world!

1 Since the US Postal Service issues Christmas stamps, it seems only fair to issue stamps for other religious holidays, too. |

This stamp was originally issued by the Bush Administration in 2001 before the attack, and was reissued in 2002 (by Bush)and years after, updated with the change in price.

Exactly. This should NOT be considered a political issue. And it WOULDN'T be if people could just get it through their heads that the vast majority of Muslims are NOT terrorists. |

1 What's amazing to me is the insistence on some to try to peg Obama as a Muslim. It's implied that he is a terrorist by association. Like someone else posted, Muslims as a whole are not terrorists. Just the radical fringe. Of course this implication is coming from the radical fringe in this country that seem intent on trying to destroy Obama. |

1 I remember Rachel Maddow (I have no idea if that's how her last name is spelled) stating that one of her primary reasons for switching her support from Hillary Clinton to Obama was that "Hillary has been so demonized by the right that I think we need someone without all the baggage" and I recall thinking "Do you honestly believe the right won't demonize him, too?" And it wasn't long after that that the "Obama is a Muslim sleeper terrorist" stories began to circulate. If that was Rachel Maddow's REAL reason for switching her support to Obama, she's my candidate for naif of the year. The far right (and the far left, too) will demonize ANYONE they view as a threat. Both radical fringes are mainly comprised of the howlingly insecure. |
