I think it would be important in this article to distinguish between the Pagan Federation that works with the police and the general public. No one knows who might be just going in and setting unathorized fires, carving tress (no mention of what the symbols are) and the other things they accuse only the Pagans of in the last paragraphs of the article.
Lots of people do folk rituals and spells even though they are not Pagan. Lots of people have superstitions regardless of their religion. This looks suspiciously like shoddy journalism in an attempt to dismiss the the rebuttals by the pagan Federation of the serious, criminal conduct they have been accused of.
