The futility of One is apparent every time he creates a new thread.

He will defend his right to look foolish and there is nothing we can do about it. He will end every post with a feeble LOL.

You know, this jerk is right for the first time. If people would just ignore him and treat him like the pile on the side of the road which he is, he would have to just go away. Please ignore this "one."

I spent most all of my christmas money on Sonoma. Unless the slumlords of Ukiah fix their crappy old buildings, why shop here? How many business owners downtown actually own their own building? None! When and if Costco opens up with City tax dollars, downtown will close, period!

I did 100% of my shopping online this year. No sales tax, free shipping, and everything I purchased was marked down at least 30%.

It was a delight - and many of my purchases through Amazon.com benefitted small businesses all over the country. What could be better?

Oh, make no mistake, he is a believer. He believes in the nObama brand of socialism.
You know the type. He is a sierra club member who hates large corporations and he claims to favor small local businesses, however, he will buy anything he needs,(from a large corporation), whenever he has a need(medicine, gas, cutting edge products that only a large corp. will produce)
He probably also collects a public employee pension from a fund that invests in those large corporations, and he has no problem with that situation as long as HE gets HIS check every month.
In other words......he is a hypocrite.

I must admit, Sonoma has just the right mix of businesses. Large corporations, and little home town businesses. Sonoma has always benefited greatly(taxable sales/jobs) from the stupidity of Mendocino/Lake County anti growth decisions.
Sometimes I wonder if Sonoma County pays these sierra club/anti corp./anti growth/anti job folks to do what they do in Lake/Mendo Counties.

Boy I would venture to agree with ya, as that is all they seem to want to do is drive people to spend their money out of town. I know I have to, due to the lack of things here.

Most of the opposition to large corp.(costco, home depot) originates from local downtown businesses. The claims that these large corp. do not pay a good salary are bogus when salaries are really compared to small local businesses. The tree huggers seem to hate large corp. as well, but yet, the enviro-nuts support a high regulatory environment that kills small business, and in the end, helps large corps. to gain market share.
IMHO, large corps. will be the only survivors in California's quest to stifle ALL businesses in this once great state. The large corps. will simply pass the regulatory burden along to all of us, while the little guys(mom n pop businesses) will be the next endangered species......hmmmm.....maybe mom n pops can get listed on the endangered list?

Just look at what happened to the old mom n pop gas stations. They are almost a thing of the past as they cannot afford to pay the regulatory costs and fee requirements. It takes deep pockets.
Only large corporations can absorb these costs in stride.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Gemini

You're in a warm-hearted and generous mood today, especially when dealing with loved ones and members of the family. You want to give them as much of your time as possible, and also to do anything else that will keep them happy. The only snag will come if you're trying to spread yourself too thin and you end up making promises that will be difficult, if not impossible, to keep. You may forget all about them but other people won't.
