Livermore is D.U.I HQ so go ahead and taste wine but be ready for the LPD! to pull you over and smell you.

How many DUI's do you have? Are you driving on a suspended license? I applaud the LPD for cracking down on drunk drivers (also known as assh*les).

from what I know about that statue, many years ago a young boy wondered on to the freeway from that location and was struck and killed. If there is any truth behind that I have no idea, but would love to know.

I have always been intrigued by that statue. I call it the Guardian Angel statue. I have never heard the one about the young boy being struck and killed at that location. My understanding is that the statue is from an old church in San Francisco.

we've heard it was taken/bought from the world's fair on Treasure Island when the fair closed in 1940. we drove up there yesterday and took several pictures of it. i've sent them to a volunteer who works at the Treasure Island exhibit. she's going to try to find out for me. It is is HUGE up close. about 20 feet tall.

I remember my dad used to take us to the "white witch's house" right off Eden Canyon Road, is this the same place where this statue is? It was so long ago I dont even remember much but I know it was off Eden Canyon Road.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Aries

Don't get embroiled in a bad-tempered skirmish today, for it might turn into more than that if you aren't careful. Everyone seems to be ratty and argumentative, but once you let the first spat take place it's effectively declaring open season. Even though things seem out-of-joint, keep your lines of communication open.
