Some food for thought for Garth Snow...Two Long Islanders Mike Komiserek and Chris Higgins will be available this summer. Now if we decide to get rid of Brenden Witt at the deadline...then we probably shouldn't look to sign Komiserek...because we're essentially just going for a slow skating gritty defenseman again. However...Chris Higgins would fit well with our youth movement. He would be an easy top 6 forward, none the less we are going to need help on the wings, if we do land Tavares. Higgins is a proven 20-30 goal scorer and still working to his potential, if he stays healthy, we might have struck gold with this signing. He's also great killing penalties and has a knack for the net SH, just like Park. If we are going to fill the gaps this summer...they have to make sense. We're going to finish the draft with alot of picks, so let them develop in the minors for the future. We saw what Streit can do on a mediocre team, so let's continue to fill the gaps with the appropriate players. Just my opinion...

Higgins Tavares Hunter
Comeu Bailey Okposo

Let's hope they keep Brenden Witt for his shot blocking and work with Martinek against the top lines of other teams. IMO they have a pretty solid defense when they're healthy. Why lose that experience on D. Same thing goes for the Weight, Guerin and Comrie line. Keep Weight and Guerin their putting up numbers.

It would be a good fit. Higgins is the scoring forward the Isles have lacked for years. Problem is you would have to offer him a lot of money to lure him away from a contending team in Montreal. Same with Komisarek

Higgins would be your best forward not one of six.

Can someone post, somewhere, that if you finish last you do not get the first pick automatically.

I think Wang has a plan.
I think he is waiting for all those kids in China to grow up so he can have them on his team.
Just kidding.
Good game, too bad the morons broke their winning streak the other night.

Agree with all above posts. Plus, I'd have to say that I'm not that worried about Campoli. It's Gervais that seems to be sucking a$$ game after game. This kid turns over the puck way too much in his own zone, can't make a strong break-out pass, and skates too deep in the offensive zone and then can't get back to make the defensive play.

I like Hillen and Callahan though, for what it's worth, they were very responsible in their own zone and made good breakouts against Tampa.
