I've watched the development of Tommmy Holmstrom over the years from being an awkward skater with little lateral movement to that of being a fine skater and adept passer. his forte,of course, is taking up room in front of the net which he does better than anyone else in the league. He wears down defensemen who try to move him away because he is a major obstacle or screen to the goaltender. He pays the price,I'm sure, with bruises but he is the "warrior" of the Wings's offense.
