We must trade kim yonson, sign gaborik, sign another playmaker that can skate with gabby, trade harding, maybe trade schultz, maybe trade skula . keep going for speed or size. we dont need big men that wont use their bodies.

The next head coach should be Peter Laviolette. He won The Cup as head coach at Carolina, he coaches an up-tempo, pressure the puck system (fun to watch!!) and will let the boys loose a whole heck of a lot more than Lemaire ever did.

With the farm system lacking in talent what needs to happen to get the Wild back into the playoff picture is that they need to bring top-tier free agents.

We know now that Lemaire's system was an insurmountable obstacle to top free agents coming here and bringing in Laviolette in addition to Fletcher would complete the 180 degree turn as far as being able to attract free agents to play for the Wild.

MacT is all yours. But a word of caution. If you thought Lemaire's style of play was boring, just let MacT try to turn Gabby - if he resigns - into a third-line checker. If MacT coached the Canadian Olympic team he'd have Iginla, Crosby and Craig Weller on the top line.

First off, what are you even talking about? Maybe trade Skula? He totally sucks and is the worst defenseman we have. Just let him go since he is a free agent. Why risk beign stuck with him. Secondly, Schultz is one of the better defensemen we have. Sure he doesn't score, but he is solid and knows how to play game after game against any team. Too bad you write before you think.

were to start... sign the sedin sisters? i will quit watching wild hockey if we sign those basterds, trade johnsson but keep skoula? your an idiot, johnsson plays the most time on our D agaisnt the top lines... BUT skoula is not the worst D, performance wise its bergeron or Zid, but they are more offensive, let skoula go cause he wont fit this new "face paced" system, and we have plenty of playmakers to skate with gaborik thats why he averaged about a goal a game once he came back... and i wouldnt want any free agent unwilling to play under lamaires system, thats too selfish of a mind set in a game were the team must come first to get the cup..

Griz, I have no idea what a "face paced" system is but if you meant fast-paced, I wouldn't worry about Martin Skoula...he'd fit in as well as anybody and every team needs its grunts too, regardless of how much they want to light up the ice.

As far as free agents not being willing to play in Lemaire's system, I don't blame those players one little bit. Why would anybody want to go from scoring 80-90 points per season to scoring 50-60 points instead? Playing in Lemaire's system is great if you are that brand new expansion team and are trying to stay competitive against superior talent but staying with that system 9 years later just doesn't cut it. Nobody should question Lemaire's knowledge of hockey at all; the guy could have a PhD in hockey, it's just that The Trap is an antiquated hockey system that should only be used by expansion teams and other talent challenged teams. Teams that aspire to greater success than 3 trips to the playoffs and 2 first-round exits in 9 years should run (not walk) away from The Trap.

What are you?...most likely an idiot...the sedin's average a point a game, douchelips. Thats a hell of a lot more than half the first three scoring lines for the Wild...Maybe Lindros will come out of retirement to fulfill the Wild's future ... less than zero

one reason i say trade kim johnson is because of his high salary . how many 7 million dollar defencemenm do we need , we must keep burns, zidlicky, the offensive style defensemen and the other ds should be physical johnson is not and neither is shultz. i like all our players so its nothing personel but we need to upgrade where we can.

i just noticed that hossa is a free agent making about the same as gaborik could you imagine how deadly detroit would be if they signed gabby instead of hossa.
