Stars' Sean Avery suspended for 6 games for crude remarks

Bettman is a complete moron. Instead of concentrating on some of the real issues with the league, such as a ridiculous TV contract, a game that solely depends on ticket sales where probably conservatively a third of the entire league is suffering from poor attendance, and then add in the fact that Sidney Crosby is the leagues biggest star, and there are many empty seats on the road wherever he goes.

This case is just a joke. Avery IS WHO HE IS, just what Joke-man said. It's a PERSONAL issue. If Avery wants to call his ex girlfriend a skank..that's his business. Bettman might be jealous or pissed because the stink-bag wouldn't give his midget self any.

Bettman needs to be canned. He has led the NHL into into the cellar of sports viewership. I remember many years ago when hockey was big even in the US. Now only the diehards watch it anymore. While Avery might be a punk, his punishment was way overboard and only emphasizes how badly political ocrrectness has taken over the league. Next the will remove fighting and the game will become even less viewed than soccer or women's basketball. Very sad.
