Kings land Smyth to shore up offense

Dean followed the playbook I thought he would. Very impressed with the moves. It doesn't lock us into long term deals, so when we have to extend Dougty, Jack, and Quick we will be able to do so with ample cap room. It gives us a top 6 guy with a ton of playoff experience and while most Kings fans will look at this numbers as say "Hossa is way better", you have to take into consideration th way this guy plays the game he does a lot of stuff that doesn't show up in the box score. Think Adam Deadmarsh. He is the perfect complement to our roster. We now have 2 top 6 guys who like to mix it up in Smyth and Dustin.
Really excited for the season and it's only July...

A 30 goal goal scorer is all we needed? This is the big splash? Wow are the LA fans being spun. How can management say that after all the hype this is what we get? We should be happy? Hopeful?
