Good tough Canadian kid who's not afraid of the rough stuff is just what the Wild need. They have too many European and French guys who stay out of the corners and away from the front of the net. Guys like this help win Stanley Cups. They do know what must be done and are willing to do whatever it takes. They are not extremely talented but they bring that edge you need to win in the playoffs.

Fedoruk is a smart hockey player, it was noticeable right away when he started with the Wild. He can play hockey, he can skate, he can for the most part help create plays and keep up with Gaborik and Demitra. I think he's a great addition to the team and it's great to see him out there with Gaborik and Demitra.
Never thought I'd see him sitting on the same bench with Boogaard but that situation puts the business side of hockey in front of our faces. Keep it up Fedoruk, great to have you here! |

Usually I dislike American hockey because of the "Hit'em Knock'em" mentality and therefore have enjoyed the Wild. But will say Fedoruk is fun to watch because he is not the obvious enforcer like some other players. He is an enforcer in a wingers body. Nice.

this guy is full of ambition and guts. he deserves a chance like this.i still think he is a good enforcer and there's alot of players who don't want to mess with him. fridge will probably fight a few more times this year but he'll also get another 15 pts the way he's going

When the Wild picked him up, I was very skeptical. VERY skeptical. From everything I've seen, he's been one to get dumb penalties out of frustration - he'll be one to crosscheck, to hook, to rough players.
After the first few games with the Wild, I figured he obviously hasn't changed. He did get dumb penalties - quite a few of them, actually. Then I noticed he wasn't the same - he was playing a winger position as a winger...he was setting up plays, when situations arose that would have resulted in him getting a penalty (i.e. roughing, hooking, etc.) instead of going with his old style, he would kind of smirk and skate away. Each game I see him play, he impresses me more and more. He plays a good, hard, clean game now and I am glad he's on the Wild. Goes to show that not only is Jacques one of the best coaches in the game, but Fedoruk has enough character to not let his emotions get the best of him on the ice and to do what the team needs. |
